3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled on tap. A really nice brew that has a Belgian traditional flavoring in its undertoe. Mild hops seal the deal.
On tap at Triple Voodoo. Pours a clear golden colour with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma is a little floral and somewhat like cider. Taste is quite sweet but not overpowering. Medium body, average carbonation, and thin and smooth in the palate. Overall a good beer. djd07 (16307) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 10, 2015
Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with paperthin white head. The aroma is veggie and floral. Medium mouth, sweet malt, toast, lingering dry finish. lightbias (455) - USA - NOV 9, 2014
I filled my glass with a hazy, dark apricot liquid topped with a small but persistent off-white head. The aroma is lightweight, not a huge presence out of the bottle, and not too much more once it’s in the glass. Lightly sour on top, the brew slides under my tongue with a bit of a salty taste. Dark berries and dough are persistent, and the palate is nice, comfortable, with a good carbonation that lasts throughout the glass. The richness of the malt is only apparent in the present swallow, despite the thick texture; it disappears quickly, not keeping a lasting impression in the finish.
Not a huge fan, but definitely not a bad Belgian style. TEJA (3348) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 5, 2014
Draught at the 21:st Amendment pub (2012).
Firm white head. solid golden color. Small belgian / phenolic aroma. Malty taste with residual sweetness and a light caramell taste. Defenatly Belgian but lacks complexity. GG (2332) - NorCal, California, USA - OCT 25, 2014
22oz bottle -
Aroma - raisins, bready, light spices, and some alcohol
Appearance - golden amber body, cloudy, 3-finger beige head, average retention, spotty lacing
Mouthfeel - smooth, medium bodied, medium carbonation
Overall - a pretty nice Californian made Belgian ale. Recommended to try and now I have a new brewery to dig into.

February 16th, 2013 - Voodoo’s Inception shakes hands with the nose by leading with a soft tangerine sweetness, and the pucker of sour cherries. A second smell brings raspberries to the fruit bowl too, and the darker, softer sugar of blueberries - a nice aroma, and very apropos of Spring. The palate is thusly surprisingly heavy, weighed by the body and gravity, and not by carbonation or bubbles. The tangerine, raspberry, blueberry mixture appears again in the flavor, bigger in the aftertaste and long and lingering. The foretaste is dominated by a prominent booziness, but overall this brew is defined by its fruity flavors, more elegant on the nose, but tasty on the tongue, too. slowrunner77 (13206) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 17, 2014
"don’t know about the currant they speak of, but it does kinda sorta taste like a fruity, hoppier than usual triple. a little bit muddled, though i do appreciate the sweet tropical and slightly bitter flavor combinations." arnold931 (1261) - Iowa, USA - APR 14, 2014
Bottle. Sweet and mild for 8%. Pours a slightly hazy gold/orange with a nice white head. Nose is fruity aroma. Maybe some apple. Good. Dfonorow (2318) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 3, 2014
On tap at SF Beer Week Opening Gala. Pour is cloudy golden with a foamy white head. Aroma and flavor are both a bit funky - dark fruit, Belgian yeast, cloves, spice, raisins, and booze. Finish is a bit sweeter than the body. Aquilo (659) - Berkeley, California, USA - DEC 24, 2013
Cloudy golden color with a thick head and lots of lace. Funky aroma Is almost off-putting, but there’s a hint of fruit in there. Flavor is mellow bitterness, with dried fruit notes. Smooth.
