Medium brown. Soft nitro, touch of lactose, light roast. Not bad but I can’t help thinking this needs to be a 4.5 beer instead of a 9.5 one. jsnicholas (664) - Woodinville, Washington, USA - NOV 11, 2014
Tap at Triplehorn. Nitro. Black with big creamy head. Tastes like roasted chocolate. Very creamy. Tastes kind of like a milk shake. Slightly bitter in the end. I think I would prefer a non nitro version. mcberko (18557) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 22, 2014
On tap at Triple Horn, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small tan head. Aroma is rich and roasted, with lactose, cocoa and roasted malt. Flavour is robust, with roasted malt, cocoa and lactose. Loads of depth, with a slight alcoholic burn. Full-bodied, with a creamy feel. Good beer. fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 13, 2014
Draught at the brewery, nitro, 9.5% ABVmaxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - FEB 27, 2014
Black color with beige creamy nitro head. Mild aroma, roasted malt and milk. Smooth mouthfeel; it has a very nice flavor of roasted malt and chocolate, but the nitro is reducing the experience. A bit nutty (macadamia), and creamy. Pleasant alcohol warmth.
Draught. Pours a near-black color with a moderate off-white head on it. Taste is a little sweet, with some dark fruit elements coming through on it. Taste is pretty roasty, and feels thick and creamy. I can also get just a slight bit of booze on the back end. Pretty tasty.

Deep chocolate brown body, with roasty chocolate cream head. Full chocolate and barley roastiness emanates off the glass. Similarly, the body is roasty with strong chocolate overtones and this one is definitely sweet. Mostly, smooth with some rough barley notes punctuated by chocolate liquor and orange marmalade sweetness. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - FEB 1, 2013
This can probably be listed as an imperial stout. An 8.5% sweet stout is probably imperial eh? Or not. At least on beer advocate where most of these new idiot raters are from. Go back. Nose of chocolate coffee roasted malts some lactose milk sugar notes. Nitro pour dark brown almost black tan creamy head. Dark chocolate bittersweet roasted malts milk sugar. Smooth with lights bitterness and smooth sweetness im finish. crackedmachine (481) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 27, 2012
