750ml bottle @ Matts. 2016 Vintage
Pours a dirty golden orange colour with a small off-white head. Nose is bread, some Belgian yeast, and some oak. Flavour is very much as the nose, other than there is a slight sourness with a dry oak finish. Tasty stuff.

Vintage 2016. 750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of Belgian yeast, light candied sugar and toasted oak. Flavour is similar, with lots of toasted oak, Belgian yeast and a touch of candied sugar. Very toasty, with light sweetness and an oaky finish. Very good.

Cloudy light amber. Thin head. Just a bit of pedio, and that sort of messes with the aroma. There is a bit of plasticy stuff. Has a soft body, though a bit of prickly carbonation in the finish. Sweet, touch of malts, with a mellow phenolic character. The finish has a fairly yeasty character, again the sweet pale malts, and there is some alcohol showing through a bit as well. Tastes a bit clumsy to me.

750 ml bottle 2014 vintage sampled November 2016. Slightly unclear amber body with a small, lacing off-white head. Aroma is not particular strong, but very nice with malt, wood, caramel and dry fruit. Flavor is sweet malt, some chocolate, dry fruit, wood, caramel, moderate bitterness and hint of warming alcohol. Fine balanced body and smooth aftertaste. A fine version of oak aged Belgium ale.
