330 ml bottle @ Restobires, Brussels. Slightly hazy golden/orange body with a medium sized off-white head. Quite mild but nice aroma of spices, fruit, yeast and a faint hint of caramel. Flavour is sweet, spicy, yeast and fruity. Nothing really specially going on, but its really refreshing and quite nice anyway. A bit less sweet that normally for Belgium trippel and thats not necessary a bad thing.

Poured yellow ale with a white head. Nose is lemmony, grainy. Body is medium. Taste is rather sweet. Palate gives mi a bit of feelings of beers produced 40 years ago. [email protected]

Brouwsel nr XVII - I cant read Flemish, but I know thats batch #17, labeled as 7,6% abv, brewed on 16-May-2012 Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a light copper glow and a thin, fast-dying just off-white head. Aroma of honey, yeast, grass, herbs, candy, apricots, figs, hay and a lot of effervescent fruit - very interesting and super potent smelling. Medium to Full-bodied; Rich malty flavour at first with a great sweet and floral yeast kick, showing a lot of honey, some subdued fruits and a grassy, perfumey kick that persists throughout. Aftertaste shows a lot of floral notes, a good grassy and complex yeast flavour, some light sugars at the tail end and a finish that lingers in a very good way on the tongue (from the bubbles and effervescence) and the palate. Overall, a very nice and incredibly complex tripel with flavours throughout showing the layers you can expect from a real Belgie tripel. Definitely worth buying and trying if you can find this! I sampled this stubby 33 cL bottle purchased from Beer Planet in Bruxelles, Belgium on 18-January-2015 for 3,00 sampled at home in Washington on the other side of the pond on 03-March-2015 and packing this back in my suitcase was a great idea!

The first beer commercialized by the Verhuisbrouwerij, tasted in many of the Roman-numbered versions, but since this site does not make any difference between them, I wont bother and consider all of them for rating this. It usually has a thinnish, sticky, cream white head and clear orange blonde colour; aroma of caramelly malts, honey, apricot, apple, jenever, pear, orange zest, coriander. Taste is fruity, a bit citrussy, caramelly malty backbone, spicy notes, grassy hop bitterish finish. Nothing innovative to this, just your plain and average, yet balanced Belgian tripel.

Bottle from Quali Drinks, Mechelen, consumed at Camping De Molen, Antwerp, Belgium, Saturday 8th February 2014. Pours hazy gold, bit sweet maybe and a bit simple perhaps but Im rather liking it. Soft in mouth, yeast and spice, bitterness shows. Perhaps a little sweet spicy lemon. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Bottle (label says brew XIX) @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. A bit unclear orange color, medium sized white head that leaves good lacing. Smell and taste malts, lightly hops, fruitpeel bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Not bad at all, nicely hopped tripel with a light fruity touch. Maybe a bit messy, but it tastes fine and after all thats what its all about isnt it?
