Aroma: Light coffee, waffle cone, Merlot. Appearance: Inky black pour with a bubbly tan head that settles into a patchy ring. Flavor: Coffee up front, but lots of fruity esters- blackberry, for instance. Chocolate is more subtle but ever present. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, flat carbonation, long finish. Overall: Interesting stout, but not something I’d continually seek out. hotstuff (5279) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAY 15, 2014
Rated on 5-18-2012 at 800 Degrees Pizza (Fort Wayne, IN) This draft beer has an opaque dark brown body and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. The flavor is coffee bitter, roasted malt and chocolate. The mouthfeel is tingly and this beer is medium bodied. This beer is very quaffable and roasted but not overly so. It is worth trying. From bottle, pours opaque black with a big tan head. Aroma is full of roasted malts and coffee. Taste is roasted malts, but with a sweet tangy quality. Medium mouthfeel. drfabulous (8808) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - MAR 27, 2014

Pours a black color with a tan head. Aroma is of chocolate, molasses, coffee, and roasted malts. Flavor is pretty strong with the molasses, coffee, and roasted malts. A hint of sweetness as well. Much better than I expected.

(bottle) black with tan head. Roast malt aroma. Flavor of roast malt, coffee, hint of hops in the finish. Strykzone (7797) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - AUG 3, 2013
12 ounce bottle bought in Indianapolis. An almost black pour that has a tan head. An aroma that is full of roasted notes and espresso. The flavor brings coffee and sourness. Citrus hops, black licorice, and oats. Bitterness comes late. This is below average because of the sourness. maxwelldeux (4433) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JUL 21, 2013
Bottle. Nose has some nice smoking to it, and almost reminds you of a good steak. There is a bit of roasting in there, in both nose and taste. This is very drinkable, though not in the expected way. cheap (6204) - CHINA - JUN 9, 2013
I wasn’t expecting much from this but overall its pretty good! From the start, poured from a bottle, it has a very attractive smell like a marshmello that caught on fire in a campfire, nifty. Pur is a nice as any stout, big black and a handsome brownish head. Tase uis smooth and friendly, very good. I was expecting an impy stout wannah be but this is well reserved and civilized. Yes, quite interesting an fun. Overall nice beer drinking experience. Pleasantly surprised! Sammy (12996) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 21, 2013
Bottle from Champane’s, less than six months old. A serviceable stout. Initially a little musty aroma. Black with virtually no head remaining. A little chalk, roast, chocolate malt. Decent drinkability. Undercarbonated and a bit above average mouthfeel.
