12 oz. bottle courtesy of phaleslu. Pours a clear orange amber color with a large fluffy off white head. The aroma has some resiny and grapefruit citrus hop character. The flavor has resin and earthy hops, less grapefruit citrus but it’s there, gets a bit thin and watery, caramel, mild bitterness, this one is just ok.

Bottle. Pours clear light amber. Aroma is caramel and bready malts, stone fruit, and faint floral notes. Flavor is dry and somewhat simple with late bitterness and faint citrus along with a touch of sweetness in the finish. Medium body.

Draft @ Hyatt Place IND. Aroma is a very nice hoppy, citrusy, maybe a touch of pine. Dark golden color, a little cloudy, with a white head of tight bubbles that lingers pretty well. Good lacing. Malt & hops balance very well in the flavor. Nice citrusy taste. Fairly full bodied. Overall a very nice IPA!

12oz bottle from trade on HBT. Pours a hazy dark amber color with a finger of foamy beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, citrus zest, and caramel malt. Taste mimics the nose. Lots of maltiness and oiney bitterness.

Served at a fine restaurant. I’m not sure whether it was on tap or from a bottle. Golden color with a one-finger white head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops. Taste was pleasantly hoppy, with a mild sweetness and easy to drink. Medium oily mouthfeel.

Tap: dark copper color. Typical hop aroma with average but solid hop flavors. Better than most of the other Indy beers!

hotstuff (5233) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 6, 2014
Backlog rating on 10-27-2012 (Bottle) This beer’s appearance is a small head that mostly diminishes, transparent body and no visible carbonation. The aroma is citrus, floral hops and caramel malt. The flavor is citrus hops, lightly bitter and caramel malt. The mouthfeel is smooth and this IPA is medium bodied. This beer is very quaffable, not overly hoppy tasting and does have a lingering hoppy aftertaste. This beer is worth trying.
