tap @ philly location. Was expecting something more banana and cloves. This was very grainy & corn. Funky and a touch of tartness, sort of like a BW. Not terrible, but not sure what they were going for. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JAN 1, 2010
Tap at Philly. Pours a slightly hazed light golden with a moderate dissipating white head. Aroma is insanely grainy- not really DMS, just lots of cracker, corn grits, cereal, and bland pale or 6 row malts and some dry dusty wheat- light spicy peppery phenolics - unique not German like, just the American hefe strain- off phenolics. Flavor is bland- corn, gritty, cereal and a light bitter aftertaste with some actual grittiness in the mouthfeel- spicy peppercorn and cardamon phenolics- dry finish. Bland and not great, but I think it is probably good for the style they were going for?
