From notes: Draft at Center City Philadelphia location. Poured red-brown with a creamy tan head. Grainy aroma, mixed with some sweet malt. Body is slightly thick, with a nice depth. On tap at Triumph during RBSG. Pours a clear ruby amber with a thin white head. Light rye, hops, and caramel on the nose. A touch of caramel, earthy bitterness. This poured a murky light brown color with a beige head. Aroma was of lighter citrusy earth hops as well as spicey rye. Flavor was a nice spicey blend of the earthy hops and the rye, but still very one dimensional.

Tap at Triumph in downtown Philly. The pour is a clear, deep, reddish amber. A tannish head diminishes with big lacework left behind. Nose is cinnamon apple pie sort of like a dunkelweizen. Taste is dry, spicy, clean, earthy with lemon tart in the backend. Opens up to sharp black cherry and spicy rye. No sweetness. Very well made. Lightly sweet and spicy nose with a bit of pepper, caramel and a touch of cherry. The taste is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, caramel and tons of spicy rye.
