Had the sampler. Third up was this gem. Pristine appearance, with a light brown head sitting on top of a dark brown body. Aroma is roasted coffee with overtones of chocolate malts. A creamy experience on the palate with enjoyable roasted coffee flavor. It is rounded nicely with a helping of hops, but not to overpowering. Can’t wait to have another. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 5, 2004
Black body with nitro head. Aroma is sweet, coffee, some chocolate. Taste is medium sweet, roasty, coffee, some chocolate, finishing coffee roasty. Watery, light-medium body. MaiBockAddict (1497) - Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA - JUN 28, 2004
Tap at NJ fest ’04. Nice deep deep brown, tan head. Aroma and flavor like creamed coffee, with a nice round malty roasty flavor. How do they get that cream flavor in there? willblake (2654) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - JUN 26, 2004
06.25.04 Princeton. Stout looking with creamy head and coating lace. Big coffee & cream nose. huh, how’d they get a cream-like aroma? Tastes just like coffee with cream. It’s uncanny. Thin and dryish body with nice lactic (go figure) acid bitter finish. Another top notch Triumph brew. iratherbe (255) - Marlton, New Jersey, USA - MAY 23, 2004
Cool concoction! Need to be in the mood. Very much an overly coffeed taste (I like coffee) mixed nicely with a smooth headed creaminess. Deep drk roasted in color. A brunch or top it off I’m done with desert brew. I’ve rated it for the style.

Sample at the New Hope, PA location. Opaque walnut, ultra-thick brown head, thick lacing. Big bullish coffee nose...ultra smooth, oily textured...cafe latte with alcohol, becomes somewhat sour and lactic, tannic wine at the end. Not as thick as it could be. Very dark pour, the head was just right on this gem.
Immediately smelled the coffee/chocolate aroma. This is my 3rd or 4th time tasting it on tap at Triumph, one of the better ones.
A lactic/milky sour taste in the finish, hence the name coffee and cream stout.
Great reason to visit the brewery. Grandpa (327) - Verona, New York, USA - MAR 8, 2004
Very good stout. Dark color, holds the thick creamy head, a lingering pleasant taste 3fourths (9357) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 29, 2003
Regular dark brown hue. Some red light at the edges. Smells of vanilla, some amaretto, and some coffee creamer. Thinner than I expected, and tasting like vegetables. Cabbage, brocolli, and other things... I'll stop. mkobes (2142) - paramus, New Jersey, USA - SEP 29, 2003
This stout is very good. The mixture of the coffee roast and the cream is great. Dark in color with the taste of a cappucino. Had it at the brewery and at a festival where it won first prize. Pleasant to drink. Little hop character.
