Sampled post EBF. Pours a murky bruin body with a hint of pink off white head. Nutty and chewy body with caramel, toffee, and a vinous warmth. Some dark fruit tones and sweet cherries. Big boozy warmth to finish. Alright. deyholla (11628) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 19, 2011
Bottle shared by someone at the post EBF tasting, thanks! Poured a clear light brown with an amber hue and a light brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was full of malts with sweet grains and caramel as well as some molasses. Flavor had some sweet grains and caramel with a bit of spice coming out as well as a hint of molasses. ryan (3186) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - FEB 13, 2011
Toffee, cola and raisins in the nose, along with some hints of plastic. Moderate to high sweetness in the flavor, lightly bitter, lots of fruit juice, some toffee and piny hops. Full chewy body with moderate carbonation. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 19, 2010
On tap, Philly location. Clear dark amber body with a small wispy off-white head. Spicy nose with lots of sweet caramel and fruity maltiness, light yeast influence. The flavor is very sweet with loads of brown sugar and some light spiciness. Rather noticeable alcohol content. Thick and sticky mouthfeel with soft fizzy carbonation. This one just didn’t do it for me. Lots of stuff in there, but the combo just doesn’t work. A little too sweet. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 16, 2010
Sampled at Triumph. Poured a deep, muddy, reddish brown with a small beige head. Big Belgian yeast nose with candi sugar. Taste is spicy, all over the place, moldy fruits, cereal, medicinal syrup. Not my thing.

POurs an oily black with minimal chestnut head. Aroma is dark fruits(raisin and plums) and yeast. Taste is sweet with the dark fruits coming through. Medium to heavy mouthfeel and very smooth. For 11% the alcohol is hidden extremely well as there is no warming sensation on the finish.

On tap at Triumph. Pours a hazy brown with a medium sized beige head. Dark fruit, caramel, cherries, raspberry or strawberry bubblegum. Medium bodied, lots of fruit, chocolate, cherry compote, and a bit of alcohol. Big warming alcohol, more cherry, light sweetness on the finish. Alcohol lingers for 20-30 seconds. Very warm. Really nice. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 2, 2010
Draught at Olde City BrewPub (at 11%ABV): Aroma of candi sugar, dark ripe fruit, and Belgian yeast. Poured very deep amber/brown in color with a large, creamy, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Lightly hazy. Not sparkling. Flavor is medium to heavily sweet. Tastes of dark ripe fruit, malt, Belgian yeast, hops, and slight cloves. Medium to full body. Coating, lightly dry texture. Soft to average carbonation. Malt, dark ripe fruit, and hop finish is lightly dry. 11%ABV was well hidden. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 10, 2008
In short: An extra-sweet fruit salad in a bottle. Not my thing.mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 9, 2008
How: Post-Mondial 2008 tasting session. Hand-bottles brought to Montreal by Dickinsonbeer. Paul rules!
The look: Clear ruby body topped by a very small off-white ring of foam
In long: Taste is sweet, very sweet, too sweet. An overall impression of a sweetened fruit salad with a few sweet maraschino cherries added. Alcohol is very well hidden behind the wall of sweetness. To me this was a sweet digestive beer-like drink. They called that “Crazy Night”. If all my Crazy Nights were that sweet I’d be getting a lot of sex.
[1469-20080531] 750mL bottle. Sweet boozy caramel malt aroma. Hazy, dark brown rich red body with a quick head. Sugary caramel roasted sweet roasty malt flavour. Medium-full body. Interesting.
