Hand pulled at Princeton. Nicely roasted malt served at pub temperature so you can get the full flavor. Dryer finish than one would expect. Nice intro to this brewery. bu11zeye (13215) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JAN 7, 2012
(Handpull Cask) Pours a clear amber-brown body with a medium beige head. Aroma of chocolate, nuts, and roasted malt. Flavor of cocoa, roasted malt, bread, and caramel with a dry, bitter finish. keepersj12 (3137) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - JUN 25, 2011
This was from a hand pump in Philly. The aroma was malty sweet with a lot of bread and some caramel. The beer is a dark amber with a nice off white head. The flavor is malty sweet with caramel, bread, just a hint of hops. The finish is nice with a long lasting after taste. Very very smooth. j12601 (13099) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUN 21, 2011
On cask at Triumph during RBSG. Pours a hazed amber brown with a medium to large white head. Big nutty and toasty malt on the nose. A touch thin, though that could be due to the cask, smooth and toasty. Sweet, soft bitterness and a touch empty. Toast and nutty malt on the finish.

This poured a medium clear brown color with an off white head. Aroma was of very light nuts, some toasted malts and light sweet brown sugar. Flavor was lightly acidic, low sweetness, nice toasted/roasted notes and some caramel as well. Decent offering for the style. italarican (1606) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 10, 2011
Cask at the brewpub. Pours a hazy iced tea with medium frothy beige head. Aroma is mild with a touch of roasted malt. Mild flavor of lightly roasted malt and caramel. Watery with a touch of roasted malt and chocolate. A bit boring. Not much going on here. blipp (9691) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUN 10, 2011
Cask. Pours amber with an off white head. Toasty malty aroma with a light sweetness. The flavor is clean and malty, with toast, light roast, and a light sweetness. Not bad. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 8, 2011
Tap at Triumph in Philly for RBSG 2011. The pour is a reddish amber with lots of big yellow lace. Nose is mildly estery with spice and caramel. Comes across as brown sugar and sweet in the aroma. Taste is very clean with small soapiness. Ends fairly tart with small sour cherry. Loads of character for a style plagued by the most boring beers in the world. Nice one. yespr (47545) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUN 7, 2011
From cask at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden orange with a small. Roasted dark malty and dry caramelish. Bitter, dark roasted breadish. Bitter and dark malty finish.
