UPDATED: JAN 20, 2003 One of the best browns I've ever had. Extreme nuttiness on the back of the tongue. Moderately hoppy, but the malt rules here. lemasney (398) - Trenton, New Jersey, USA - MAR 30, 2008
Sampler at Princeton. A rich, deep drink. No head or lacing. Deep with a medium to heavy depth. Nutty flavor and aroma. Dull hops flavor. mkobes (2142) - paramus, New Jersey, USA - FEB 7, 2004
Really nutty and roasty in flavor. Tasted more like a porter, than a nut brown. Good beer but not one Triumphs best beers. Dark brown in color with a lasting head. Enjoyable. illinismitty (2271) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 27, 2006
Draft at Rrinceton on engine. Pours translucent brown with a frothy off white head that laces all the way down the glass. Flavor is nutty but with a very mild malt backbone. A little thin for the mouthfeel, but still enjoyable. The brewer probably designed this to appeal to the inexperienced beer drinker, but still be acceptable to someone like me. The newcastle comparison is pretty close, but this one is creamier. Very enjoyable. Adam77 (457) - Eastampton, New Jersey, USA - MAR 18, 2009
I liked this. Poured brown with off white head. Aroma of nuts. Smelled nice. Flavor of nuts and some fruit. Easy to drink.

light brown pour, very roasty aroma. Nutty, grainy, smooth. A little light in mouthfeel, but quite quaffable. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - DEC 18, 2009
Draft. Pours a brune body with a yellow off white head. Nutty malty body caramel and some dark fruit esters. Hint of wood and a thin sessionable brown ale. Good stuff. keepersj12 (3137) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - JUN 25, 2011
This was from a hand pump in Philly. The aroma was malty sweet with a lot of bread and some caramel. The beer is a dark amber with a nice off white head. The flavor is malty sweet with caramel, bread, just a hint of hops. The finish is nice with a long lasting after taste. Very very smooth. 2-12-05 Princeton Pub- Another hand pump.. This one I enjoyed handpumped. The smoothness of this beer in this fashion is incredible. I got the feeling if it was colder on tap, it would be a little rougher. VERY Similar to Newcastle. Nutty, roasty, sweet.. with a little hoppiness. hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 17, 2008
On tap at the New Hope location. On cask. Poured a deeper amberish / orangish color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of nuts, chocolate, and some roast. Tastes of nuts, chocolate, roast and caramel.
