3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Philadelphia location. Pours a brilliant sienna-orange, with a tall finger of tan foam. Sweet grain sugar nose, fresh baguette crush and some pumpkin seed. Flavor is rather bland. Some generic Munich malt, a bit of toast, and some light hops. Really generic and blandish. Dry and crisp. Not the sweetness, malt character or expressiveness I’m looking for. Drinkable, but plain.

Real good throw back style beer. Like your grandfather drank. Nice on a cold November afternoon.

Sampled with Stegosaurus and beerded_one at Newtown brewfest. Weak body and taste for an octoberfest. I was dissapointed.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
10.16.04 Tap @ Princeton. The standard glowing copper pour looks exceptional as a beam of sunlight streaks from the ceiling, illuminating the pull. Hardly any head. Bread crust nose with a lagerly spine. This beer was served quite cold and I found that refreshing, given the style. Nice spice to the hop character come in a bit earlier than usual, almost puckering the tongue in shock like a salty chip. Not a bad effort from this, my favorite bp. Surprisingly, this doesn’t have the usual Triumph signature flavor so recognizable in most of their beers.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Princeton. Pours copper with an off white head, spotty lacing. Caramel and bread like aroma. Flavor of caramel, toasted malt, and a hint of fruit. The hops do a nice job of balancing this beer, and does not have the overdone spicy hop finish other Octoberfest have. Sort of reminds me of Paulaner.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
New Hope. Clear golden-amber body with a frothy, off-white head. Sweet caramel nose with notes of grapes, toast, and buttery nuts. Medium sweet malty flavor with light fruity aspects, emerging Noble hop signatures, and low bitterness. Good, quaffable Oktoberfest.

A pretty good to-style Marzen with nutty malt notes and a hint of toffee maybe. Good and drinkable.

growler from New Hope location. Nice clear amber in color with a small to medium sized off white head. Aroma is toasted and munich malts, light caramel and floral hops. Taste is well balanced between toasted malts, caramel and light floral hops. Well attenuated, somewhat dry. Light to medium bodied. well done.

On draft at the Newtown Brewfest with Beerded_one and the Mad Indian. Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts, floral hops, and citrus. The flavor is caramel, slightly sweet, with a mildly bitter finish. Thin body, good brew.
