By far the best 'fest beer I have had. A very malty blend that just soothes the soul as well as the palate. This beer lacked the often sloppy sweetness that you find in this style. It had a little sweet but with a purpose. I enjoyed this beer immensely. jcalbi (380) - Medford, New Jersey, USA - NOV 11, 2002
Clean copper color with a consistent 1/8" thick sandy colored head. Aromatic hints of chocolate and candy sugar ,though not oppresively so. Somewhat smokey and toasted mouthfeel with flavors of chocolate and caramel and a slight hop bitterness. An O’fest that left me pining for more. UPDATED: OCT 28, 2003 Good maltey beer. Clean. No off notes in aroma. Munich malty flavor. Low hops. Very clear. Enjoyable. Reminded me of some of the best from Munich. Jine (903) - Nutley, New Jersey, USA - OCT 3, 2004
At Triumph in New Hope. Tapped today at 3 pm, and I enjoyed this at around 8 pm. Didn’t meet up to my expectations, but realize that I’ve been waiting for this beer since it was first listed on the fermenting board in early August. Still a very good Oktoberfest Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 21, 2008
Growler courtesy of JB175. Pours copper with a reddish tint and a nice sustained white head. Smells of caramel, dough, wildflowers, light tea. Tastes spicy and lightly bitter with a touch of citrus and a dry malty finish.

growler from New Hope location. Nice clear amber in color with a small to medium sized off white head. Aroma is toasted and munich malts, light caramel and floral hops. Taste is well balanced between toasted malts, caramel and light floral hops. Well attenuated, somewhat dry. Light to medium bodied. well done. UPDATED: JAN 1, 2010 Newtown Brewfest 06. Pours a nice clear orangey amber with a nice fluffy white head and good lace. Aroma is toasted and munich malts, bready lightly nutty and has a nice clean assertive noble hop character. Clean bready and malty flavor with full toasted malts, light caramel sweetness cut with an herbal hop bitterness in the finish. This was a good Oktoberfest. keanex (1799) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - OCT 12, 2012
A: Clear amber body, thin head.wnhay (722) - Princeton, New Jersey, USA - OCT 7, 2005
S: Light aroma, fruity and caramel malts.
T: Sweet caramel malts, fruity esters, bold flavor and balanced.
M: Medium body with medium carbonation.
O: Solid oktoberfest beer, a notch above Sam Adams.
UPDATED: OCT 7, 2006 Draft in Princeton. Nice amber appearance with a thick tan head. Retention was short. Aroma had a good maltiness. Citrus, courant, caramel were the main flavors. Fine, but a little watery and bitter at times.
Re-rate- Better this year. The Munich and Vienna malts worked well together. Caramel and dark fruits were there as well. Malty as an Oktoberfest
should be. 7/3/7/3/16 (10/7/06) keepersj12 (3117) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - NOV 10, 2007
Real good throw back style beer. Like your grandfather drank. Nice on a cold November afternoon.
