On tap at Philly location. Light nutty sweet malt aroma, with tea and hints herbs. Not much in aromatic hops. Dark coppery amber clear with thin head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation. Starts roasty and toasty with nice tea, biscuit, and caramel malt notes. Mild hop bitterness with smooth nutty finish. Clean nutty after. keepersj12 (3137) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - OCT 9, 2012
Perfect for Oktober Fest, this is a malty brew worthy of any German in Old City Philadelphia. Pours a dark amber with a small head. The aroma and flavor are all about the malts. Caramel, bread, toast, yeast, some chocolate. Very nice for the season.
