Draught in Philly location: This one pours a surprisingly darker color than a typical saison. It was a clear, darker amber color. There was also a fair amount of an off-white head on it that left some lacing. It had a lighter peppery, wheat and malty aroma. This has a very nice taste. Some clove and peppery notes, a slight malt sweetness, faint fruits. A nice brew. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - AUG 10, 2010

Growler from Princeton location. Pour is hazy amber with small white head. Aromas of slight fruit, spice, orange, and soap. Flavor is bubbly with citrus, slight earthy hops, and some spice. Average but nothing great. Easy drinking and ok. adrian910ss (2572) - Doylestown, PA, USA - JUN 30, 2008

Moderate malt flavors, very nutty. Hops are heavy, flowery and purfumed - resinous, grapefruit and pine flavors. Moderately yeasty - very spice driven. Banana grape and apple - very fruity and sweet. Nutmeg and clove make an appearance. small off white head is mostly diminishing. Medium amber, orange red hues. Moderately sweet, heavily acidic, and slightly bitter. Well balanced and a bit acetic. A long duration. dry, creamy, syrupy body is medium to full. Lively carbonation. It’s delicious, spicy, fruity and deep.

Good but really too spiced for my comfort. Not just coriander, but an almost flowery lavender and also something sharp (grains of paradise?), and I don’t like lavender. Still, drinkable enough and in great condition, and with a nice cottony sweetness. Handbottled very well thanks to hophead75. hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - APR 2, 2008
on tap in Princeton- hazy dark orange/light amber in color with a small off white head. Aroma: alot of spice: ginger, coriander; some light belgian yeast and some notes of pale malt sweetness. Taste is caramel, some biscuity malt with alot of spice and touch of yeast esters. Some earthy hops in the finish Not bad as a straight up spiced ale; but not good as a saison- actually nothing like a saison. I am not sure what Tom was going for on this one when he brewed it. chimplechamp (601) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAR 27, 2008
Thick spicy nose, cloves, pepper, quite dense.pours brown orange thin head very cloudy. loads of spice taste is overpoweringly spicy even for a saison not giving any barnyardy flavours that i was hoping for. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

Aroma: 6/10; Appearance: 7/10; Flavor: 6/10; Palate: 6/10; Overall: 11/20
Light color with a small head. Aroma is sweet with some light citrus and spice. Taste is light, refreshing, but too boring to be a really good saison. Good, but average for the style at best.
