Long toasty days, cool breezy nights and a splash of magic provide the inspiration for the Tröegs brothers’ dreamiest creation — Dreamweaver Wheat. Combining wheat with Munich and Pilsner malts, German Northern Brewer hops, open-top fermentation and a yeast strain that imparts hints of pepper, clove and banana, Dreamweaver Wheat is an unfiltered blast of spicy, mouthwatering joy.

2014/01/18 - Pours a cloudy straw colour with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is banana, clove, coriander, wheat and peat smoke. Taste is wheat, banana, spices and a mildly sour citrus aftertaste. Mouthfeel is slightly thin with mild carbonation and a crisp, refreshing finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle. Bright medium gold color. Moderate sized pillowy white head. Fragrant wheat malt nose has hints of banana and clove. Light fruity malt flavor benefits from the addition of the Munich and Pilsner malts. They add a touch more balance and body. Banana and clove flavors are more subdued in flavor. Grassy hops in finish. Tasty as an American Wheat, with Bavarian influences.

Slightly hazy copper beer with an enormous fluffy bright white head. Nose of banana, clove, and lemon. Flavor is similar with the banana and clove taking prominence followed by sweet citrus and a light flowery bitterness. Easy drinking with perky carbonation, this is an enjoyable beer, although a little generic.

Clear golden pour with thick, slow, white fizz. Light bodied with moderate fizz and a sweet finish. Good, strong spice and a touch of banana in the nose. Pepper, clove and anise in particular.

Hazy orange gold, medium to large white head, no lacing. Aroma is wheat, spice, belgian fruit, and nutmeg. Flavor is fruity wheat, and munich malt. Medium bodied. A solid hefeweizen but not my favorite style

Aroma is banana and a little bit of pepper. Taste is banana and a hint of smokey thick bread with a smooth backdrop. Very slight burn, maybe a little more than some hefes, but not really what I’d call a significant hops presence (And, to be fair, the style doesn’t call for one anyhow). Tastes like a hefeweizen with just a hint of dunkelweizen, in beer terms. Mostly hefe, though, which is how ratebeer is categorizing it, I feel correctly (Though the bottle label itself makes no claims as to style and just calls it a "wheat beer"). There’s nothing wrong with it, but I have to admit the last one from an old mix pack the rest of which was long gone sat in my fridge for a long while. But that’s just because I’m not a huge fan of wheat beers, not because something is wrong with it within the bounds of the style. I think it is a reasonable variation on the style and if you’re in the mood for what it offers, you’ll be reasonably satisfied. Nothing too special, though- the flavor is stronger than some of the real watery hefes that sometimes get mass marketed, but it’s not a real rich hearty flavor that some fans of these type of beers may be seeking (For my part, I’m okay with that. Too rich in this style might not be my thing. If I wanted a rich tasting wheat beer and price were not a factor, I’d probably prefer a tripel or trappist style ale.). One thing I will say is that despite all the wheat beers that flood the US craft market, somehow many of them avoid the basic banana flavor hefeweizen taste, which I imagine could be quite frustrating to hefe fans. This beer doesn’t run away from what it is.

Pleasant spicy aroma on this hazy straw colored wheat beer. Strong clove and pepper notes dominate but do not overwhelm this easy drinking beer.

What jumps out at me with this beer is the spicy notes that I don't typically associate with a wheat beer. It's very pleasant and very refreshing to come across something like this, and aside from that little bit of spice, you're still looking at a solid wheat beer. Very good.

Draught at Jet Rock Bar and Grill in Terminal B of PHL. Dark gold with full white head. Hazy - OK for style. A fair amount of tartness here.
