Appearance was nearly black, but let’s some light through. Large bubble head that evaporates quickly to leave moderate lacing.
Smell was roasted coffee and milk chocolate.
Taste was straightforward and simple coffee and chocolate.
Overall, average, common coffee-style stout. Nothing that stands out. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 20, 2013

Opaque brown - black beer, decent pale tan head. Light dry palate. Very moderate carbonation. Fresh tasting dark malt, not roasty or bitter. Very mild coffee. A little lactose sweetness. Semi dry finish. Pleasant coffee and malt aftertaste. Not bad - just a bit muted.
Bottle at home ... red black ... thin tan head ... big hop ... loads of roast malt ... little coffee nose ... big coffee front ... light hop ... light bitter ... cold coffee linger ... light toffee ... decent but unexciting. Leighton (21255) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2009
Just sampled some of this tonight at Shorty’s in NYC. A really tasty brew. Highly robust, with a deep coffee flavor. Coffee reigns, in the nose, the taste and in the aftertaste. Each is somewhat unique, though, and the overall experience is quite complex. I also detected notes of caramel and chocolate, as is to be expected. A good bit malty. Very savory.
