In bottle has a nice pour with white head and brown/orange color. Aroma of pumpkin, clove, vanilla. Nice smooth to drink, well balanced spices and pumpkin. Medium carbonation. Mild heat from alcohol. Very well done and a top pumpkin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured into a tulip and treated as a Belgian ale with pumpkin flavor added, the appearance was a dark muddy orange color with a sustaining finger and a half’s worth of white foamy head. Lacing moves in a sly sticky fashion roaming around the glass nicely. The aroma starts off with sweet pumpkin flesh, Belgian spicy yeast, gentle sweet bready to toffee malts and a warming boozy raisin smell underneath. The flavor balances exceptionally well between the sweet of pumpkin to the Belgian bready/yeastiness. Spices slyly move in. Some ginger, allspice and cinnamon help to provide a nicer cozier balance and everything seems to combine wonderfully in the aftertaste and leaves a quick semi-spicy to sweet malty pumpkin sort of finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a nice sipping to sly sessionable moveable sort of feel. Spices hit in the harshness but the carbonation also helps to balance and not distract. Overall, because of the yeast strain Troeg’s uses for this beer, I believe this is a Belgian ale that has a great amount of pumpkin in it. I would love to behave this again.

Caged/corked 12.7oz bottle into tulip glass, slightly cloudy rusty amber color with darker tan head. Aroma notes of farmhouse funkiness, yeast spices, pumpkin pie spices (clove, cinnamon), tad earthiness and crust. Taste adds more pumpkin pie, ginger, more clove, dough, nutmeg, tad vanilla, some apple and light earthy hop bitterness. Medium body, moderate carbonation, lively, tad dry with light earthy spice finish. More earthy and lively than the average pumpkin beer, good.

12.7 oz bottle. Pours brown with tall, creamy, long-lasting, off-white head and lively carbonation. Aroma is of yeast, spices, toffee, dark fruit, brown sugar and herbal hops. Body is full and crisp. Taste is similar to aroma, not much pumpkin at all. Finish is long and spicy. Excellent brew.

Complex & tasty pumpkin! Pours rustic orange w/ a minuscule head & next to no lacing. The aroma is bursting w/ spice & is pumpkin pie like. The flavor lies right in the middle between sweet & dry while the honey adds some uniqueness in the finish. It’s a really good pumkin & certainly worth a try!

Pours a caramel from a bottle with a thin off-white head, quickly dissipating with little lacing. Very clove-y aroma, similar flavor, some other spices as well. The large amount of clove is rather off-putting, but the nice spicy yeast is a welcome addition to a somewhat tired beer style. Meh.

2016/02/24 - Pours a cloudy amber-copper colour with a thin, fizzy, off white head that quickly vanishes and leaves no lacing. Aroma is pumpkin, clove, cinnamon, caramel, dough, ginger and a hint of vanilla. Taste is clove, ginger, pumpkin, caramel, spice (clove, cinnamon, nutmeg) and dough with a touch of vanilla. Mouthfeel is medium with effervescent, biting carbonation and a sharp, refreshing finish. I really enjoyed this, especially the ginger notes and the high carbonation. One of the better pumpkin beers that I have tried. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[Bottle (375ml)] Pours a clear deep orange-copper with an average size diminishing frothy white head. No lacing. Aroma of pumpkin, spices and grain along with bready malt and some light fruit. Malty flavour with pumpkin and spices -- simple but nice. Alcohol is totally hidden. Medium bodied. The pumpkin and spices are there but not over the top like some Pumpkin beers, and sometimes that’s what you want.

12.7 oz bottle. Deep clear brown with sparse froth. Nose is cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, ginger and caramel. Medium body with a tang. Taste is earthy pumpkin, apple, cinnamon stick, ginger and fall leaves. Almost cidery with a welcome rustic feel.
