COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Squeeze those hops for all they’re worth and prepare to pucker up: Tröegs’ newest single batch brew, Nugget Nectar Ale, will take hopheads to nirvana with a heady collection of Nugget, Warrior and Tomahawk hops. Starting with the same base ingredients of our flagship HopBack Amber Ale, Nugget Nectar intensifies the malt and hop flavors to create an explosive hop experience.

While the brewery considers this an "Imperial Amber Ale" RateBeer considers it an IPA due to the hopping rate. There is no need to send any other corrections on the style.

Pours a golden amber clear with 1 finger head and heavy lacing. Aroma of toasted malt, hops of tropical fruit and grapefruit. Tinge of sweet up front, then turns moderately bitter. Very well balanced. Full bodied. Long finish. This is a great beer.

Amazing seasonal release from Troegs Aroma: Intense floral Hops; sweet nectar goodness. Palate: Full body with Slick & thick texture; Nugget Nectar is a lively beer with a sweet & bitter finish. Overall: Always look forward to this time of year where Troegs releases this gem!

Bottled. Pours beautiful clear red. The aroma is hoppy. Lemonish. Palate is nice a juicy and sticky. The taste is big hops. The blueberry and berry pops out. Big resin piney taste. Dry aftertaste. The Amber malty backbone is strong and present. Awesome beer.

Plain and simple this beer gets it all right! The color is a deep amber with a good amount of foamy white head. The smell lets you know you’re getting a hoppy beer with enough malt to hold it’s own, notes of citrus, pine, and caramel. The flavor follows suit balanced well with hoppy bitterness and malt sweetness. I waited a long time to finally get my hands on this and I am not being let down at all.

Maravilhosa.

A very pretty beer, pours from bottle a clear punch color (pinkish auburn) that wouldn’t be confused with amber in good light. The one-finger ivory head dissipates very fast, but does leave some lacing and a hint of skim. Nose is pine resin and a whiff of citrus. Unfortunately, the taste doesn’t get much more complex than that. The palate does add a hint of strawberry and some malt sweetness. That doesn’t predominate but balances the hops a bit, so that it’s not as harsh as the 93 IBUs would suggest. Under the pine, there’s grass, and a slight touch of meatiness as it warms, which is probably the best way to drink this. Not terrible in a pinch, but mainly one for hop festishists.

Tap into a snifter showing dark caramel brown with a finger of tarnished foam. The nose shows light pineapple and hints of pine. The palate is medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Very smooth mouth feel. Flavors of light cannabis and mild pineapple with a strong malt backbone. Moderate bitterness on finish.

Pours up a clear dark amber with a nice finely foamed white head. Aroma is nicely balanced; hops and malts. Notes of caramel malt and bright sweet citrus fruit with dank hops. Taste brings forth piney cascade hops, with a good malt backbone. Slightly bitter finish and aftertaste. A very good IPA.
