On tap, Troegs taproom, 11.5.16. Clear gold. Soft citrus and earthy aroma, lightly bitter taste and earthy, a little alcoholic and rather light-bodied. HourGlass13 (845) - North Carolina, USA - SEP 17, 2016
Pours crystal clear, amber colored body, capped by a tall off-white head. Aroma is slightly sweet, yeasty, with earthy hops. Taste is hop forward, citrus, some orange peel was noticeable. Good dose of sweetness as well. On the back end, the hops turned sharp and quite bitter. Super oily and resinous. The bitterness came through even more in the finish. Uber pithy and piney with an astringency that was off the charts. The mouth feel was light and frothy. TattooJack (515) - Illinois, USA - SEP 15, 2016
from the can of a 12 pack smuggled back from Philly in a checked bag, clear orange. Taste is sticky pine, gritty grapefruit rind, nice carbonation, and good ABV. beastiefan2k (3900) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - SEP 12, 2016
12oz bottle from fall mix pack. Bottled 7/27/16 but the pack was sitting in a fridge when I purchased it. Its a pretty Imperial Pale Ale. Poured into a small nonic glass. Very clear golden body with a moderately sticky lacing and a head that never fades. The malt character on this also is really well done. Strong backbone of clean white breadiness, no husks, no sweetness but pleasantly present. This Imperial Pale Ale’s undoing is the hops. The hops are even clean with no off flavors or over hopping. However, there are a gazillon hops in this beer and I have no idea what hop flavors they want out of it. So, it just comes off as undescript hoppiness, with nothing shining through. Mish mash of typical hop flavors all in a light format. A good starter Imperial Pale, low bitterness for style. I would drink this for the malt character but be unhappy with the hops.

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from One Stop Market. Appearance is clear gold with orange tint, nice sparkle, 1/2 finger-width white fizzy head with poor retention and fair lacing. Aroma is strong fruit, dank resin, earth, citrus. Taste is as aroma. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with thick texture, lively carbonation and dry, resiny bitter finish. Overall, nice look, and decent complexity but I’m not as huge a fan of dank resin as some other hop characteristics. ClarkVV (6637) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 6, 2016

Large, foamy/rocky, white head tops a clear, burnished bronze-golden body. Moderate to strong retention.
Quite floral and spicy at first, though grapefruit and juicy orange notes quickly come forth, as well. Malts seem pretty well out-of-the-picture, though there is some breadiness and very light caramel. A touch of pine and resin on the very end, but no alcohol or flaw.
Started out pretty enjoyable, with lots of fruitiness and a good spiciness to match the big orange and grapefruit notes. Lemon, pine and a touch of pineapple and nectarine, with lightly sweet malts and a big carbonation. After about half of the bottle, the resinous bitterness began to build up, with perfume-like floral notes fatiguing the palate as well. Malts sweetened somewhat, as well, and it went down hill quickly, with the last quarter of the bottle pretty difficult to choke down due to all of this sharp citrus, strong resin and perfumey pine and grass.
This has it all...great hop, citrus scent; professional pour/appearance; smooth balance of malt and hops; incredible hop taste. I’m having it now from a 12oz bottle, but it was a treat on tap at AppleBee’s in Lancaster, PA (route 30 & near the outlets) with a "value pour" of either 21 or 22 oz. Cheers!

Tröegs Perpetual IPA has a medium, off-white head, a mostly clear, bubbly, golden appearance, and moderate lacing left behind. The aroma is of fruity hop oils and sweet, white bread. Taste is of sweet white bread, white bread crust, and citrus rind hop oil. Mouthfeel is medium, and Tröegs Perpetual IPA finishes dry and drinkable. RJT
