Bottled. Clear gold-yellow pour with a fine white head. Excellent lacing. Aroma is grapefruit hops, biscuity malt. A little bit of hop spiciness. Taste is biscuit malt balanced with a nicely hop bitter finish. Citrusy hops in the aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel. Well balanced IPA. Wonderful hop character. Very citrusy. Bitter without astringency. Conceals the alcohol well. Very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy from my iPad.

On tap at Village Tavern in North Wales, PA. Pretty bland IIPA, maybe my expectations of Tröegs was too high.

Orange reddish in color... Aroma of citrus hops... Flavor is slightly creamy with prevalent notes of citrus hops and toffee malts... Not terribly bitter on the palate... Solid ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazy orange dark golden pour with a small head. Nose is deep citrus with orange, grapefruit, and pineapple. Flavor is bitter sweet with a nice pleasing citrus taste. Finishes sweetly with the same flavors. Quaff Score. 8 / 10

Pours golden with a white head and sweet, hoppy citrus aroma. Taste is sweet, while hoppy, citrus notes dominate with grapefruit and straw with a dry, bitter finish. Very drinkable, tasty DIPA

Pours clear orange with bleached foamy head and some lacing. Some pine, booze and citrus in aroma, but not very strong for an IIPA. I guess that’s why they call it an imperial pale ale. Finishes citrus rind-bitter. Average carbonation. Bottle.

Pours a gorgeous golden orange. One of the most beautiful IPAs I’ve seen. nice 1 finger head that sticks around. Nose is a mix of pine cones and tangerine skin. Sticky mouthfeel, piney and resinous, very little citrus and extremely bitter finish. Thin mouthfeel for a 7.5% beer.

Appearance is a clear amber with medium white head. Aroma is a more sweet hop. Taste is certainly bitter, but hidden underneath a sweet earthy hop. Overall a well balanced IPA.
