This is my favorite Troegs beer. Everything is spot on as far as an IPA goes. This tastes extremely similar to their pale ale, but just stronger and it is dry hopped. This has a light malty backbone with strong citrus/grapefruit flavors from the hops.

Pours a nice golden semi-hazy color with an almost pure white head that has great lacing. Aroma is nice blend of citrus and fruits. It could be a little stronger. Flavor is initially a light bitterness with citrus and pine notes. It ends with a nice alcoholic bitter finish. Mouthfeel is full and carbonation is average. Overall this is a solid IPA but could be a little stronger and there could be a little more taste.

Pours golden with fluffy white head. Smells very floral. Taste is ample hops with a soft honey sweetness. Smooth, slightly stick texture. Great taste!

Aroma: Citrus, floral, hoppy Appearance: Golden yellow, poured into pint glass with a 0.5 finger white head that dissolved very shortly after Taste: Lots of upfront hop, citrus notes, quickly fleeting Palate: Very lively carbonation and mouth feel, bitter but abrupt finish

Uploading old ratings that were missing comments. Absolutely awesome. Diverse hop profile is intensely complex yet it still manages to be refreshing. Glad they finally make this year round. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2013 Pours honey gold with perfect clarity and a frothy head of foam that stuck to the glass like cotton candy. Beautiful effervescence streaming up the middle of the glass. This one’s lovely to look at. Nose is peachy, tropical & floral. Has a little dank which I love and the malt is peeking out with some biscuit and honey. Taste is near perfection with no alcohol, some hop bitter and light malt to greet the palate. Light, clean but it falls short of crisp. The hops come up catty and earthy and the malt is fat with cracker and bread. Finishes bitter and a touch of grain. Of all the Troegs I have had this one is the least impressive. Troegs has it’s own brews to compete with and this one is good, it’s even better than good but it lacked nerve.

12oz Bottle, purchased at Wegman’s. Aroma is leafy, catty, and green. Pungent and herbaceous, somewhat piney, like freshly crushed yew berries. I don’t care for the body and flavor of this beer. It’s washed out, overly dry, and too focused on a narrow band of filtered tasting hops, making it feeling like a cleaned up and sanitized take on traditional West Coast hop bomb examples, like Pliny the Younger or Sculpin. The malt structure is too thin to support the level of bitterness and an overall paucity of hop flavor makes this less enjoyable than it could be. Filtering is an issue here.

Tap at mellow mushroom. Pours golden Like a lighter beer. Citrus fresh nose and medium heavy carbonation. Light white thin head. Bitter light mouthfeel. Citrus hop burst upfront and some off balanced sweetness to follow. A strange imperial ipa with little alcohol taste. Seems like a lighter beer but still tasty. Little floral taste which can be a positive. ---Rated via my mouth

On tap. Very mild for an imperial IPA. Smooth aroma and palate. Subtle hoppy taste. Very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of finely sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a very softly carbonated transparent dark orange colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy. The mild citrus crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish with a strong hoppy aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of mild caramel vinous citrus and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.
