Very hoppy. Piney tastes notes combined with bitter orange. Solid. Cascade hop forward, but clearly some hops with tropical notes in the background as well.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap. Slightly hazy golden color with white head. Aroma has bittersweet tangerines and some dank/grassy hops. Taste starts with juicy citrus fruits and finishes with bitter, piney hops and lingers with grapefruit pith flavor. Medium body with soft carbonation. Overall it’s a quite good IPA with a more classic hop profile.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a nice deep gold/orange color. It’s mostly clear, just a little hazy. Smells mostly of citrus. I also thought I could smell some light malt or grass or hay or whatever.. which I’d expect from a pils not from an IPA. It has a medium body, but that’s all relative I guess. I tasted the citrus flavor right up front combined with bitter hops. Definitely a strongly bitter after taste. I think it’s pretty good overall. Personally, I prefer a more-balanced IPA. As much as I like hops, I’d rather one that didn’t linger quite as long as this one.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Flight shared with ebone1988 at the brewery. The pour is a bright golden yellow with a thin ring of head and no lace as it falls. The aroma is full of urea. Nice cat piss (sarcasm). There is a light hoppiness and a hint of malt on the back end. The flavor is malty more than hoppy. There is a light bitterness to it, but it’s a lot sweeter than it should be. The mouth feel is wrong. It’s syrupy and watery with a lack of carbonation and a lingeringly sweet maltiness. This baby is a sum of this visit in the trip. Amazingly disappointing.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This stuff is pretty solid. It’s golden w/ a nice looking white head and creamy patches of lace. It’s smell is kinda floral and citrusy, not really as vibrant as I prefer but decent. This stuff is maybe a touch on the heavy side for me but still somewhat drinkable with its creamy carbonation. It finishes w/ some lingering fruity sweetness and rather firm bitterness. This is a good beer, not out of this world in any respect, but solid w/ no real off flavors or problems. I wouldn’t turn one down if offered.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap in a bumped pint glass at Blue 5 in Roanoke, VA. ECBT continues with crew intact. Golden orange color with really solid lacing and quarter finger white head. Pine and floral qualities work well in the aroma along with grassy notes. Taste is pine and resin first, then a little bit of bitter citrus rind. Feels pretty standard imperial IPA fare with a bigger bitter quotient than some. Nice clean finish after a pretty slick, piney mouthfeel. I’ll continue to like this for a long time...or until I taste my next imperial IPA.
