22 oz bottle from Spirits Middletown. Poured a deep clear bronze body with a small to average sized slightly foamy white head. Aroma is nice with lots of citrus notes, grapefruit, grains, honey, hop cones, lemon rinds, tangerine and apricot skins. Medium to fuller bodied that starts off rather smooth but then the carbonation and the bitterness kicks in about halfway and follows through a long lingering bitter finish. Flavor has a solid sweetness about it, somewhere between honey topped bread and eating a grapefruit and a grape at the same time. Really solid stuff here, hey Toegs with the new brewery coming online soon I better see either this or NN as a year round offering. joshwilfong (1200) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - AUG 18, 2011
yellow with large white head. nose of citrus and some herbal hops. firm bitterness before a lot of citrus hops with a touch of herbal, very little malt presence perfectly accentuates the hops, as does the arid finish. alcohol provides depth. a wonderful ipa, world class PhillyCraft (8323) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 18, 2011
UPDATED: NOV 7, 2012 Bottle from Brad. This beauty was picked off the line at the brewery the day before I had it. Fresh as can be! Poured a honey glowing orange with medium off white head. Aromas were great, with tons of resinous citrus tones coming through such as pineapple, lemon, earthy grapefruit. Taste was also good with a medium carbonation on the mouth and flavors of grapefruit, vanilla, bread, caramel malts. This was a great new release from Troegs and a truly sessionable ipa. Cheers. Re-rate, dropped this one .4 because the recent batch I had on 11/7 which i was told was fresh was terrible. Aroma was just peach and malt, taste the same with no pine or citrus. When there are so many ipas out there you have to be consistent. Macegan75 (859) - Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 18, 2011
Draft at CAH. Pours a pale straw color. Nose mild with slight hops, first sip is clean with pale malt flavors. Finish is weak with bittiness. I was disappointed. adrian910ss (2606) - Doylestown, PA, USA - AUG 17, 2011
22 oz bomber. Pours a hazy orange honey color with a medium sized fluffy off white head. Aroma of bitter hops and grapefruit notes. Taste of bitter hops, grapefruit and orange. Good stuff. Prefer this over Nugget Nectar.

22 oz. bottle from Pinocchios in Media poured into a pint glass. Appearance was dark gold with a finger of white head which settled to a coating. Lacing was light but lasting. Nose was citrus hops up front with elements of floral and grassiness and spice. Taste is a very nice and refreshing - citrus, some bready yeast, mild bitterness and caramel sweetness. APA? Nah… this is an IPA taste for sure, but like most of my favorites - even with a refreshing bite, still overall quite nicely balanced. Mouthfeel is medium, mildly carbonated, and on the sticky side. At 7.5%, this is (carefully) sessionable. I am pretty excited about this beer. Nugget Nectar is our finest right-coast IPA ( I know, I know…not how Troeg’s classifies it) but with limited (seasonal) availability. Now they have filled some of the void! Try this again - are you kidding? I am on my way back to the fridge RIGHT NOW!
