Pours a golden yellow color with one finger of white head. the aroma is fruity, spicy, and a slight yeast note that I’m picking up. light alcohol presence. the taste has grapefruit, a sweet and spicy yeast character. light malt backbone, slight presence of alcohol and a nice bitter finish. overall, this is a fresh and crisp IPA, if it was a blind taste test for me, i would have said it just an IPA, not an imperial. it needed more hop character.

Handypaul (553) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - APR 30, 2017
Can. Pours dark amber with a fully lasting, white, frothy to creamy, 2 finger head that leaves very good lacing. Strong caramel, citrus aroma. Heavy sweet, medium bitter tastes, medium body, appropriate carbo, sticky sweet in the far finish along with increasingly bitterness in the finish. Too much sweetness / out of balance.

medium body, sticky, average carbonation, astringent, Great head, great fruity smell, bitter like a grapefruit good beer but beware the aftertaste and hangover.

I love Troegenator but this was just too bitter for me. I won’t be drinking it again.
