3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. The pour was a golden straw orange with an average (1-2 finger) white fluffy head that was mostly lasting, finally reducing to a few puddles and a medium collar with some excellent sticky spotty lacing.
The aroma was of floral and citrus hops, grain malts and a sweet yeast with notes of caramel, citrus (grapefruit) and a quite noticeable sweet fruity ester.
The taste was a little bitter-sweet with a hint of caramel and had a mild fruitiness from the onset, and then became quite a bit bitterer and nice and hoppy with a definite citrus peel ending. The flavor lasted a very long time proceeding the swallow with a hoppy bitter taste that was left to linger for quite a while longer.
Mouthfeel was a few shades beyond light in body and was dry in texture with a moderate carbonation.
Overall an extremely well balanced IPA, slightly fruity at the start and pleasurably bitter towards the end with a great drinkability...
12oz bottle from Premier Gourmet, shared with PracticePlastic. No bottle date. IPA pour with nice lacing. Citrus & pine with sweet and bready malts. Fairly dank and bittersweet. Medium bodied, and the blend is ok, but really no better. I question the bottle date.. More bitter than bittersweet finish. Solid. Nicely dank. 13.6 AGALE (3) - Frackville, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 4, 2017 does not count
On tap at Troeg’s, Appearance-straw/golden, hazy, minimal head. Citrus pine aroma and I seemed to get some kind of berry. Taste pine resin and citrus up front, followed by some tropical fruity notes. Sticky texture, and fizzy carbonation. Sweet malt mid-palate, finishes with medium hop bitterness. In my opinion, the best Ale I had that night! rosskyle (733) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 3, 2017
Served on tap at PNC park. Hazy orange color with a white head. Citrus hops aroma. Citrus zest up front with a bitter hops finish. Medium body.
