Bottle at campground brewdown. Pours gold with a white head. Pretty well oxidized at this point (obviously) with some faint sweet apple notes, and off yeasty notes as well. Honestly, for a 7 year old beer of this style, I expected way worse. orangesol (987) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 19, 2014
*First and foremost, this review is for how this is drinking right now, not in the past. My scores reflect the last time I had it but didn’t review it.*

Big thanks to John for bringing this one to Campground Brewdown this year.
Never thought I would have the chance to try it after so long a time.
A - Pours pale yellow with a decent one finger tall white head, quickly dissipating to a light film, leaving small rings of lace on the sides of the glass.
S - This one just plain smells old. Plenty of oxidation, stale bread, died up yeast, bubblegum, apples and some sugary sweetness.
T - Starts off with some green apple skins and wet cardboard oxidation slowly being joined by the pale malt, bubblegum, old yeast and some light sweetness. Finish is a touch sweet with more oxidation.
M - Medium-Light body with high carbonation. Prickly, sweet feel. The bottle sounded like a gun went off when it was opened.
O - I knew going into this that this one was long gone so I was expecting all of this. If you still have one of these it is for pure novelty at this point.
A: The beer pours a very hazy golden orange color with a large white head.
S: Butterscotch and cardboard are prominent, which is disappointing but not necessarily surprising. Toffee and caramel sweetness with a little bit of bready. Strangely, there is a strong Cracker Jack aroma.
T: A very strange fruity flavor that I can’t quite describe. Cardboard oxidation, toffee, butterscotch, honey, and some more Of the Cracker Jack character.
M: Medium in body with a fairly high level of carbonation.
O: I was happy to try this just because of what it is in terms of the series, but it’s really not worth drinking. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 1, 2010
Bottle thanks to Derek!.. I’ve now managed to track down the first 25 of these! Poured hazy peach with a short, swirly cap of whitish head. The aroma picked up soft, buttery notes and pale malts with early-stage composted grass around.. sweet overall, and age definitely showed. The flavor found honey and bready malts at the core (again showing age, but pleasant).. dry black pepper, earthy notes, and a touch of grass around.. finished with a lemon-peppery twang over honeyed bread. Light-medium bodied with low carbonation on the palate.. sweet complexion, but it dried out on the edges.. past its prime, but still a tasty and interesting brew. Bottle. Pours a pale golden body with a white head. Grainy malt body some light citrus and hints of grape juice. Lightly earthy with a hint of spice. Decent. pintsize (1041) - Austin, Texas, USA - OCT 23, 2008
7-27-08 bottle shared with lb4lb thanks to DIM, we believe lb4lb (2629) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUL 27, 2008
Cloudy dull dirty yellow with a thin and short lived white film of a head. Smell is very doughy with a faint splash of citris - very faint. Flavor is light malt and mostly dough but there is that light citris backdrop there as well. Drinkable, but not superb.
Bottle in trade from a forgotten source. Possibly DIM? Thanks though!LinusStick (3498) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 17, 2008
Pours a nice hazy light orangish yellow color with a small white head. Smell is lightly hoppy and with sweet tea like maltiness. Taste is fruity with lightly bittering hops and a touch of a yeasty flavor. Unique tart and citrusy flavor with a touch too light sweetness. Pretty interesting beer.
Wow. I was expecting a boring beer here, but this was outstanding (especially for this style!). Aroma was fruity hops and pretty strong. Pour was murky light gold with a one finger white head. Taste was very sweet in the front. Sugar and fruit mostly. The hops balance the sweetness, but after the swallow the cheeks are almost numb. Don’t know why but there is a crisp aftertaste that tastes like Juicy Fruit gum. Very nice. radiomgb (2686) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 19, 2008
Murky golden-yellow in colour, lingering white coloured head, good lacing. The aroma is of light citrus, biscuits, very light sweetness, some bread and grass. The flavour is of biscuits and cookies, light citrus and some floral hops. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, light body, medium carbonation. Finishes lingering, light hop bitterness.
Plain, basic and light in the flavour and aroma but that said still refreshing.
355ml bottle obtained in a trade with kkearn, thanks Keith.
