From bottle, blindtasting #11. Pours hazy orange with an almost fully gone head. Dry liqourice/Pernot and spiced aroma. Sweet malty and slight spiced. Mild fruity accent into a dry malty and spice hoppy finish. Quite yeasty impression into the far finish. Ungstrup (37876) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 18, 2009
Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of spices - espeically cinnamon, combined with medium notes of malt. The alcohol leaves a burn in the mouth. Thanks CaptainCougar for coming to Denmark and sharing this. Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 16, 2009
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Miver. Hazy golden with a small, off-white head. Aroma of fruit, yeast and alcohol. Quite full-bodied with sweetish fruit, some yeast and alcohol - quite intense really. Subdued bitterness. 010209 brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - MAY 16, 2011
A: The beer pours a slightly hazed orange color with a thin and short lived white head, though there are plenty of carbonation bubbles on the glass.
S: Smells like pure candy. Intensely sugary with lots and lots of banana notes. A bit of a floral honey note and some other sweet/overripe fruits, perhaps some pears. Strong herbal aroma, especially anise and perhaps sage.
T: Lots of sweet sugar, caramel, and brown sugar flavor. A bit of a white grape flavor and some other intensely sweet fruit flavors. The anise character is a bit more subdued, but it comes through more and more as the beer warms up.
M: Medium in body with a somewhat low carbonation.
O: I wasn’t a huge fan of the anise flavor in this beer. It seems to just take over. Luckily there wasn’t any booze presence, which is surprising for an 11% beer. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 6, 2009

12oz bottle shared courtesy of TomDecapolis. Poured a medium and hazy amberish/orange color with a very small sized off white head. Aromas of spices, anise, fruity, and yeast. Tastes of breadiness, spices, and candi sugar. On the sweeter side with light alcohol in the finish. jcwattsrugger (12434) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUN 8, 2008
on tap-pours an off white head and hazy gold color. Aroma is medium malt, orange/anise, spices-clove. Taste is medium malt-licorice/anise, rock candy, spice-clove/peppery. OK effervescence. Sammy (12346) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 12, 2008
Thanks Dr. Jay for saving me one of these little gems. Virtually no carbonation and light golden yellow with no head. Yet tasty for sure. Alcohol knocked me over for the rest of the aft, nice spiciness(clove, orange peel, bannana yeast, licorice, corriander), medium mouthfeel. No question that over time these bottles lost carbonation.

Pours hazy gold with nose of rock sugar, florals, Belgian spices, fruit. Tastes fruity, with bready malt, spicy dry florals, and some limey citrus. Rich palate with notable complexity and a nice balance of fruity, spicy, floral, and hoppy elements.
