Draft from the brewery. Pours a clear dark golden color with a white head. Aroma is mostly bread/cereal with a touch of hops. Medium body, the bread taste comes through. Some hop notes but not much. Fairly clean finish. I really like this one. Would like to see more of it.
Had this beer at the Pizza Boy Brewery. It’s an okay beer but not the best tasting. Probably wouldn’t get it again. HeadyDE (825) - Delaware, USA - SEP 21, 2013
Sample pour at fest..one of few beers that impressed enough for a refill..incredibly good hoppy aromatic nose bursting with citrus..mango.apricots..absolutely delicious session pale ale that has more legs and body than many of its kind in the style..excellent offering.. orangesol (987) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 26, 2013
Served on-tap at the brewery.
A - Pours slightly hazy amber orange with a nice one finger tall white head leaving spotty trails of lace down parts of the glass.
S - Smells of muted citric fruit, grassy hops, pale bready malt and some mild caramel sweetness. Nothing over the top or very exciting here.
T - Starts off with a mix of muted citric fruit and some grassy hop bitterness quickly giving way to the doughy caramel malt core. I would prefer a bit more bitterness to this one, it goes a little too malty as it warms up. Finish is a mix of chewy malt and light hop bitterness, lingering on the palate long after the finish.
M - Medium body with moderate carbonation. Smooth, slightly doughy feel with some hop bitterness creeping in at the end of each sip.
O - A nice enough session IPA. The flavors are all there but the hops never really assert themselves like I would have liked. Not a bad beer by any means, just a nice easy drinking IPA. Worth a shot if you get the chance.
