UPDATED: MAY 6, 2012 Beautiful red color that invited me in. Superb flowery hop. Rolls into the tongue. Smooth finish. omhper (25138) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 20, 2002
Reddish amber. Big perfumy hop aroma. Medium bodied. Intensly hoppy, citrusy aromatic finish. HighGravity (926) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 5, 2002
Big fluffy head. Nice fresh hop aroma. A bit sweet on the front of the palate. The middle and the finish round out the beer well. Oakes (17684) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 2, 2002
Dark amber; earthy hop nose; all about the Goldings - highly original stuff here, if I had just walked out of the biosphere following a twenty-year stint. Every brewer in Ontario makes this beer. Amber1 (32) - USA - MAY 2, 2002
Big head, amber hued, huge nose. My favorite from Troegs! I’ll have another.

expensive, but worth it. Everything in the Troegs line is worth it. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - APR 18, 2002
Great beer! Pine/caramel aroma suggests a nice balance between the hops and malts. The flavor backs it up -- nice hoppiness backed by good malts. The beer is copper colored with minimal head. Kathy (241) - Washington DC, USA - APR 7, 2002
Sweet, hoppy aroma with a flavor that lives up to it. A biting, but not too bitter, hop start (which I thoroughly enjoy) and a sweet, mildly grapefruity finish. Rivals Sierra Nevada Pale Ale as the beer that I would want to always have on hand. obxdude10 (2324) - Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 20, 2002
Nice balance, dark color, good head, rich flavor, certainly on the bitter side, would like to taste this on draft

Another fine beer from Troegs. A very well balanced ESB. This brewery is up & coming and I hope more people discover their great beers.
