Thanks for the opportunity to try this Mike! 12 oz bottle poured into my snifter.
A- Nearly opaque, cloudy straw yellow body that pours with a hefty 2-3 finger foamy white head. Head has great retention and plenty of lacing left all the way down the glass. Cloudiness is very thick and dynamic with a TON of yeast sediment whirling about at the bottom of the glass.
S- Lots of Spicy and yeasty scents in the nose. Behind this is apples and lemon and a slight bready sweetness.
T- Apple and pear flavors are upfront and are accented by a peppery spice. In the background is a soft, bready yeast. The finish gets a bit spicy as floral hop flavors and bitterness come through along with the spices intensifying. What is left to linger is a hint of sweet apple and remnants of sweet bready yeast.
P-Medium to high carbonation and a full. smooth, yeasty body.
O- This is a very good beer and another great offering from Troegs-who really has yet to disappoint me. Wish this were offered more often.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2009 Wow what a beer. I think this came from beachbum25 and a HUGE thanks. Very cloudy yellowish color with a small whitsh head. Aroma is super yeasty, fruity and a bit spicy. Flavor is so smooth and yeasty. Some spices, some bread, wow....simply wow. The mouthfeel is amazing. KornDogg (570) - Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 27, 2008
On Tap at Troegs. sweet aroma, spice and tart flavor with a hint of earthiness.... a well balanced saison... fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 7, 2009
Bottle. Aroma of banana-clove-bubblegum combo, doughy malt, sprightly citrus (light orange, more lemon), dank, wet-grass hops. Flavor has many of the citrus notes, quite sweet, with a hop balance that increases to the point that the finish is earthy, and lightly bitter. More than an admirable effort for an American saison. theisti (4113) - Kansas, USA - APR 21, 2009
12 oz bottle shared by csbosox. 14-2008 stamped on the label. Pour is a cloudy yellow, golden orange and straight juice orange. Smallish white head. Aroma of spicy earthiness, malt grain, citrus lemon. There is also a spicy component of cloves and white pepper. There is a bunch going on in the nose, and it all comes together quite nicely. Taste is wheat, malt grain, lemon / orange citrus, and the spiciness of the cloves. Nice yeast expression. Palate is medium body, though still light tasting with active carbonation. Nice one. Tangy zesty earthy after taste lingers. Really nice one, thanks for sharing this Chris.

Thanks to Rich for the bottle. Poured healthy medium golden with a dense cap of creamy white head.. lovely pour. The aroma picked up soft fruity and floral notes topped with peppery spices and orange zest.. balance was delicate and enjoyable. The flavor had bready and honey notes at the core.. the fruits and flowers from the nose were more accents and slightly bitter here.. orange zest and vanilla around.. finished with fine balance between sweet and tangy character. Medium-bodied with thick carbonation on the palate.. this beer just rolled across the tongue.. spicy and refreshing on the finish. I really dug this one! hopdog (12341) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 4, 2008
KSBF ’08. Poured a medium and cloudy golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of citrus rinds, cereal, yeast, and fruity. Tastes of citrus, cereal, lightly earthy, grassy, and fruity. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - OCT 13, 2008
Pours a cloudy golden orange with a medium creamy/bubbly white head that left rings of lacing down the glass. Aroma of perfume/floral notes, honey, touch of pepper, bready, mixed citrus notes, Saison fermentation esters and some hops coming across in the nose. I like how the Saison and Chouffe yeast work together in the aroma of this one. Flavor of bready pils malt, honey, light hints of Ginger, peppery, light banana, some clove, other Saison yeast esters and again some of the flavor and characteristics I would expect from a beer that has a little bit of the Chouffe in it! jimmyh (3) - USA - JAN 25, 2009 does not count
12oz bottle I recieved as an extra in a trade recetly. Poured a murky golden color with a thin white head. Tastes of banana and spices are very much present. Great beer, I wish I had more. blankboy (7662) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 10, 2009
My bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- courtesy of TheEpeeist. Pours a hazy bubbly gold with an average size foamy white head. Aroma’s awesome, it’s spicy, fruity and yeasty along with some wheat and floral hops. Delicious flavour of Belgian yeast, spices, lots of fruit, some sweetness and a lightly bitter, dry spicy finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Medium bodied. I loved it!
