Nice golden/slightly unfiltered look to this one with a pleasant aroma of pils and floral hops. Flavor is well hopped with some biscuit and dry yeastiness. Nice pils. mcbackus (758) - Merritt Island, Florida, USA - FEB 18, 2009

Pours a hazy yellow with a very small white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, light orange, and grass. Flavor has orange peel, spicey hops, and a bit of pine. Finishes mildly bitter, a bit too much plastic in the hops for me. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - FEB 9, 2009
Pours a lightly hazy golden yellow with a medium foamy white head that left rings of lacing down the sides of the glass. Aroma of lots of citrusy hops, lemon is the most pronounced but getting orange and light grapefruit too. Some breast and lightly toasted sweet malts coming through as well. Flavor of doughy, lightly sweet bready malt, some grapefruit and lightly spicy hop notes. Moderate hop bitterness. Would have liked this a little dryer. Enjoyed the aroma they got from the hops. Going to have to go look up what they used. I’m not thinking this was a traditional pils hop, but I could be wrong. egajdzis (6501) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 7, 2009
Poured a lightly hazy, golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of toffee malts, toast, citrus, grass, and floral hops. Taste of toffee, light honey, lemongrass, and a lightly sweet finish. reggiedunlop (3717) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 3, 2009
pours a clear straw color witha thick foamy white head...nice retention and lacing. aroma has hints of pils malt, earthy hops, lemongrass, and a subtle soapiness. flavor is hoppier than i expected with spicy hops and a subtle citrus. also a light malty flavor up front with some lemongrass. mouthfeel is smooth and finish is crisp. very refreshing! afireinside96 (923) - Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 1, 2009
Bottle acquired in a trade with machfive55, a huge thanks to Rich for getting me these Scratch beers. Served in a footed pilsner glass. Pours a clear light gold topped by a nice lasting head of finely packed little bubbles. Smells of honey, lemon, and cereal. Has a clean crisp flavor that is lightly sweet with hints of grass and honey. Very nice spiderweb-like lacing. Finishes a tad weak but that is the only real flaw I can find. This might be my favorite Scratch beer so far.
