Pours a clear yellow gold with a medium sized white head. Aroma of bread dough, grass and yeast. Taste of bitter light hops, fresh yeast with hints of light honey and grassy notes. Better than average pilsener. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 28, 2009
12oz. Bottle: Slight aroma of noble hops, malts, and grass. Poured golden/yellow in color with a medium-sized, rocky, white head that lasted throughout. Hazy. Slight sparkling. Full of tiny particles throughout. Flavor is lightly bitter. Tastes of hops, Pils malts, grass, slight lemon, and herbs. Light to medium body. Slightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Hoppy, bitter, dry finish. A decent Pils. jeff789 (1408) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 26, 2009
Pours a pale clear yellow with a big white head that goes away quicker than expected... Aroma of grassy hops and traditional pils hops that are less pronounced than expected... Tastes is very nice with a medium amount of bitterness for a pils and a decent amount of pale malts finishing the beer... Light to medium light mouthfeel with a medium lingering bitter hoppy finish... Always fun to try the Scratch Series... jehoey (765) - Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 18, 2009
Aroma is huge on some citrus (but not C hops) and a big floral note. pours golden with a slight haze, and a pillowy head that laces nicely. flavor is softly malty, with lots of crisp bitterness, and a floral flavor, as well as a citus the is reminisent of mandarin oranges and other citrus. body is medium-lean, and dangerously drinkable. Awesome pils, I could probably drink one of these everyday. Nejhleader (1574) - Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 16, 2009
on tap at brewery. had a bit of a cloudy yellow look to it, bit of grassy aroma and taste, maybe with some pine, wasn’t a big fan.

On draft at the brewery, poured a clear, bright yellow and had a big head on it. The aroma was slightly hoppy, with some small malt notes. The flavor is mostly hop bitterness, with a slight underlying sweetness. The beer is fairly clean, with little yeast character. A pretty decent pilsner, it did not blow me away like some of the other Troeg’s beers.
