Had a glass at Barcade, poured from the bottle. Quite good. Exactly what I would expect from an Old World malty beer. Sweet, with strong caramel and maple syrup notes. The ample and diverse malt presence adds to the complexity. Rich and full. hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 10, 2009

Bottle from JW77. Amber pour. caramel malt and light hops on the nose. Flavor is light and somewhat bland. Caramel malt and bready notes are most noticeable. DocLock (10683) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 18, 2010
Deep copper pour with off-white head. Nose is earthy caramel malt, nuts, slight rauch, a Wheaties-like nose and taste, with a heavy malt flavor, and some earthy and fairly assertive late hops.

12 ounce bottle 2009 edition. Pours a cloudy orange hue with a small white head. The aroma is sweet honey and malts. A nice crisp flavor; spicy hops, oranges, honey, sweet dry malts. Enjoyable. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 31, 2009
Bottled. Poured most-assuredly peachy golden with a short cap of off-white head.. nice color to it. The aroma picked up a lovely array of fresh bread, lemon zest, earth, and white peppery yeast with a pinch of residual honey and floral character behind.. don’t think I’ve had anything like it. The flavor found crisp pale and bready malts at the core.. white pepper, cloves, and lemon zest surrounded.. earth and vanilla impressions from the yeast on the back.. thankfully long finish. Light-medium bodied and crisp on the palate.. tart, well-balanced, and memorable.. surprisingly good! Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 10, 2009
This poured a hazy orange color with a big white head. Aroma was decent malts, rather bland to be honest. Flavor was much the same, bland malt, some caramel hints but very smooth. egajdzis (6580) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 1, 2009
Lightly hazy, dark amber with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, nuts, toast, citrus, and light floral hops. Taste of caramel malts, nuts, light roast, toasted malts, and subtle hop presence in the finish. dmac (6262) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - NOV 6, 2009
12 oz bottle from Capones. Poured a slightly chill induced haze orange/amber with a slightly large fluffy off white head. Aroma is all malts and loaded with sweetness. Flavor is rather sweet and starts off with some uncooked dough that gives way to cereal grains and a slight touch of spice. For a session beer this one will do just fine but at $3.50 a bottle from a bottle shop that makes this $21.00 a 6er or $84.00 a case, No F’n Way!!!
