On tap at Troegs’ Beer Garden for Philly Beer Week. Pours a hazy, golden hue with generous white head. To the nose there’s strong Belgian hops, bread-ridden maltiness and plenty of citrus, mainly apricot. A genuine Belgian ale. The barrel also nudges its way in with a hint of basementy oak. Spicy citrus, hoppy, strong alcohol on the finish with prominent, floral, Belgian fruit! Head didn’t last too long and a light lacing on the glass, but overall a delicious brew and extremely refreshing. Thank you, Troegs. adrian910ss (2572) - Doylestown, PA, USA - JUN 12, 2010
12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy golden orange honey with a huge foamy white head. Aroma of light bubble gum, orange peel, zesty lemon and floral tones. Taste is much the same as the aroma. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - JUN 11, 2010
Bottle. Golden pour with a bit of white head. Some spicy hops, with citrus and earthy grassy hop aromas. Yeast and hops dominate flavor with some light spice infusions. TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 11, 2010
12 oz bottle. Murky brown with a big fluffy head that collapses under its own weight leaving lacy chunks. Nose is yeast, orange mint and rose hips. Crisp and biting with a squirt of hop juice and residual chalk. Taste is toffee, mandarin orange, peach and lemon zest. Grassy finish with doughy drying. Delicious and refreshing. The Brothers really nailed this one.

Bottle acquired via trade with Tanger...thanks again Jon!!! Grassy, earthy, floral nose with a sun bleached hay-colored body and small ivory head. Flavor is hoppy and bitter with lemon grass and belgian yeast forward. Medium mouthfeel. Not bad. ryan (3186) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - JUN 8, 2010
Pleasant, floral and herbal nose, light cobwebs, some hay, golden fruits. 12oz bottle. Poured a deeper yellow/golden color, cloudy, and with a larger sized frothy white head. Lacing left on the glass. Aromas of spiciness, some bananas, breadiness, floral, and some woodiness. Tastes of spiciness, bread, citrus, and fruiyt. nickd717 (4679) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUN 7, 2010
12 ouncer in a BA trade from dashirey.
The beer pours into the glass a hazy golden-straw color with a massive white head.
Aroma is damn good. I just realized this was barrel-aged, and that definitely makes sense to me now. My schnozz picks up bready malts and Belgian yeast, citrusy hops, and oak.
Down the ol’ hatch it goes. Along with the pale malts, there are tropical fruit notes and an estery Belgian yeast presence. Bright citrusy hops, oak, and even maybe some vanilla as well.
Really smooth on the mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with active carbonation.
I know I’m a Harrisburg homer sometimes, but I’ll be damned if Tröegs isn’t one of the best in the business. This one is tasty, drinkable, and even refreshing at 7.7% ABV. Solid stuff.
