Pours a clear pale yellow color with a white head. Aroma is malty, grainy, spicy, and peppery hops. Flavor is grainy, some fruit, and a peppery spicy finish. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - FEB 23, 2008
Bottle thanks to axilla: Pours a transparent bright golden with a thin ring of white head. Aroma of sweet pale Belgian malt and doughy yeast with some peppery spice. Body starts with a nice biscuity malty sweetness and some light fruity esters before a drier, more bitter warming finish. Pretty authentic for the style and should age well. johnadam2002 (529) - Hainesport, New Jersey, USA - FEB 4, 2008
Poured hazy gold with a bubbly white head. Aroma of fruit and spice. Good mix of fruit and spice flavors. Finish was a little thin. Not bad for...10%!? Woah. franksnbeans (265) - Columbus, Maryland, USA - DEC 24, 2007
Pours a very hazy gold with minimal white head that dies quickly. Very little lacing. Smell is of yeast, sweet malt, clove, pepper and some vanilla. Tastes as it smells. Bready with yeast, clove and lots of dried fruit and fig with a little hops. Medium body with nice carbonation. A curveball from Troegs and I like it. Overall a delicious brew Ty5592 (1018) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 19, 2007

12 oz bottle, via Zathrus13. Pours a very cloudy yellow gold with tons of fluffy chunky protein and yeast bits floating about in suspended animation. Minimal fizzy white head. Nose is heavy syrupy wheat and malt with lots of yeast. Some light spiciness, and I get a light note of smoke for some reason. Slightly sweet and fruity flavor with a heavy yeast influence. A lightly spicy finish with minimal alcohol noticable. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with nice soft fizzy carbonation. Minimal stickiness on the finish. Overall, this was a pretty nice beer, but the appearance wasn’t too desirable. Unfiltered is good, but 1/4 inch of chunky floaties is bad. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - DEC 4, 2007
Bottle from Bendo and served in my NB Worthy glass: Pours a cloudy gold hue with small floaties, fading frothy last with a ring of foam, spotty lace. The aroma has notes of candi sugar, peanut brittle, apricot and banana esters, sweet bread, a herbal hop. The taste starts fruity and malty sweet with a hint of bready goodness. The midsection is a tad yeasty and even wheaty before heading off towards a lightly spiced finish. A touch phenolic as well. The mouth feel is slightly sticky and lush but there is a fair amount of carbonation and bright alcohol to keep it from being cloy. A solid Tripel that could even be better in a year. goldtwins (4320) - Nesconset, New York, USA - OCT 30, 2007
GABF 2007: Poured a lightly hazed light yellow color. Belgian yeast aroma. The aroma was dry and spicy. Light wheaty malt flavor with a spicy finish. Medium bodied with a good warmth. 3fourths (9345) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 28, 2007
Draft at Troegs. Clear golden yellow. Hoppy, sharp candy sugar and light yeast nose, basically it smells like a typical tripel with a big hop bill and slightly higher alcohol. Chewy and frothy sometimes, the hops are dry and spicy, not grassy or juicy, and the yeast is clean and estery, not muddy or heavy. adrian910ss (2574) - Doylestown, PA, USA - OCT 25, 2007
Pours a slightly cloudy golden yellow-orange with a medium white head. Unfiltered with a few hops abound. Spicy aroma of cloves, plantains, lemongrass, yeast and bubblegum. Taste is spicy with hints of banana, cloves, lemon, fresh yeast and a bubble gummy finish. Nice.
