Bottle. Pours a clear bright copper orange with a thin white head- lasting. Aroma is nice fresh hops, citrus, earthy weedy, grass, orange oils and pine with light caramel and toffee. Flavor is medium caramel malts, crystal toffee, lemon zest, dank weed, citrus tangerine, orange grapefruit light earth and a medium tacky bitter finish. Pretty good. Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Fruity and hoppy, light grapefruit toned hop character, pepper tones, and some light pine. A noticeable malt bill with a sweeter citrus finish. Nice offering. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - DEC 1, 2010
Pours a bright orange with a bit of caramel coloring. Nice white head. Aroma is overflowing with bright citrus hops. Some grapefruit zest and a cornucopia of other citrus notes. Taste is quite similar along with a nice, biting bitterness. A little bit of tropical mango and other fruits here as well. Mouthfeel is dry and well carbonated. Super easy drinking and something I really wish they’d’ turn into a year round beer. Troegs needs a full-time IPA, right?

(12oz bottle, courtesy of thirdeye11) Pours a hazy, deep gold with a white head. Aroma of dried fruit, grapefruit, malt. Flavor is very much the same. Mouth feel is medium body with high carbonation. Overall, not bad at all! nickd717 (4643) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 20, 2010
12oz bottle thanks to StormKing47 on BA. Pours light amber in color with a nice lasting white head. Not as clear as I’d like. The aroma is a little faded but still good, with citrusy hops and a nice barleywinesque malt smell. The flavor has sweet malt and faded citrus - tangerine and grapefruit - and resin notes. Definitely east coast style. Good hop resins on the palate with medium-plus body and a tiny bit of syrupiness. Pretty good IPA, maybe a little past prime but still enjoyable.

Bottle shared by Shane, thanks! Poured a hazy amber gold with a white head that lasted. Aroma was a bit weak with mainly a citrus note consisting of mostly orange. Flavor had lots of citrus (orange) with a bit of a bread backbone. Left a little something to be desired. brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - SEP 10, 2010
A: The pour is a slightly hazed golden color with a thin creamy head that leaves some great streaks of lacing.
S: A very nice grapefruit and pineapple aroma that is very potent. Not much in the way of malt or pine, but what is there is very good.
T: There is a nice tropical fruit and grapefruit favor, but not quite as pungent as the nose. Very little bitterness, which is surprising. It really only shows up on the very end of the finish.
M: The body is medium with a moderate level of carbonation.
D: This is a nice and easy to drink IPA. It doesn’t quite have the bitterness that I look for in the style, but good otherwise. decaturstevo (6240) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - SEP 2, 2010
Hazed orange with creamy white head and lace. Sweet caramel malt and citrus hops aroma. Taste mirrors aroma to a T. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Nice beer. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 1, 2010
Sample at the Hawai’i Admission Day tasting from a bottle thanks to grownfool. Orange-brown, whitish cover. Citrus orange aroma, light caramel. Taste is caramel, light grapefruit. tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - AUG 22, 2010
Sampled at the Hawai’i Admission Day tasting. Pours orange-ish gold with offwhite head. The aroma is citrusy hops, sweet dried pineapple. The flavor is crackers with a weird earthiness and distant tangerine. A mild bitterness comes through the finish. It smells better than it tastes.
