Bottle. Citrus and floral aroma. Golden body with thin lasting head. Flavor is filled with hop, pine and floral... grapefruit aftertaste... I’m a big fan of the Citra hops Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - DEC 1, 2010
Pours a bright orange with a bit of caramel coloring. Nice white head. Aroma is overflowing with bright citrus hops. Some grapefruit zest and a cornucopia of other citrus notes. Taste is quite similar along with a nice, biting bitterness. A little bit of tropical mango and other fruits here as well. Mouthfeel is dry and well carbonated. Super easy drinking and something I really wish they’d’ turn into a year round beer. Troegs needs a full-time IPA, right?

Named "Citra of Brotherly Love" @ Johnny Brendas bar in Fishtown for a Troegs Philly Beer week event on 06.06.10. Darling of an IPA, upfront citrus nose, full bodied amber. Definitely the type of IPA Philadelphia beer geeks enjoy. Happy to have drank too much of it @ JB. Peregrinari (148) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUN 11, 2010
This incarnation is quite good! Pour is a golden amber with a thick white head. I got on tap at brewery. Taste is citrus hop with a nice balanced malt finish. Aroma is strong grapefruit with mild cranberry under notes. Finish is fairly dry. This is a tasty tasty beer! DocLock (10721) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 16, 2010
Bottle from PUB’N via an intermediary. Pours turbid deep gold with big 3 finger sticky white head. Nose is heavy hops, florals, yeasty malt, grapefruit. Tastes very grapefruity, citric, with a rich malt presence. Smooth finish which gets very close to grapefruit juice with some florals, and is very enjoyable. Make this one year round, guys, and call it Ruby Red Napalm Apocalypse.

From bottle, courtesy of Snoop59. Juicy fruity citrusy hops with tons of apricot. Fragrant and sweet with caramel. Just a great nose. Golden orange clear with thin white head. Medium heavy body with medium carbonation. Sweet and fruity like apricot nectar. Not cloying but well balanced. Tons of great bitterness at the finish but not harsh. Great IPA and good hop profile with right amount of maltiness. A real treat. Chipper (303) - Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 23, 2010
Cloudy dark amber pour with a moderate tan head. Big hops aroma, bitter, spicy, and a little citrus. Flavor is huge on the hops, but still smooth and a very nice bitter finish.

12 oz bottle courtesy of steelersfan. Thanks Jen. Pours a slightly cloudy copper color with a medium sized white head that soon recedes to a 1/8 inch and holds. The aroma is moderate with sweet malts, caramel and some citrus. The flavor is hops forward with a big piney hops presence beautifully balanced by caramel malts, biscuit and minerals. The palate is a bit uneven starting out thin but building to a full malty conclusion, the carbonation is lively and prickly. Finishes long and bitersweet. Overall: A very sessionable brew, very tasty, well done Troegs crew. dpjuart (1112) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 24, 2010
Bottle courtesy Snoopy59. Pours orange with a white head. Citrus nose with resiny and sugary qualities. Lots of resiny hops in the flavor, citrus notes of lemon and grapefruit. Moderately bitter. Solid beer. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - JUN 25, 2010
Tap at a few locations during PBW 2010. Pours a lightly hazy golden orange with a medium creamy white head. Aroma of grapefruit, mango and floral hop notes along with some caramel malt. Flavor was a nice mix of the floral and citrusy hops, caramel malt was definelty there as well.
