Growler from the brewery. Pours a nice amber color with a white head that disappeared slowly. Sharp citrus aroma - fresh hop very prevelant. Had a good hop presence in the taste but was balanced with some sweetness from the malt. Great beer, I will definately get this one again, would love to see this make their year-round list or at least as a seasonal. To me, this rivals the Nugget Nectar. Well done, Troegs!!! jcwattsrugger (12434) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUL 23, 2011
12 oz bottle-pours a white head that laces and gold color. Aroma is sweet tropical fruit, light/medium malt-bready/caramel. Taste is sweet tropical fruit/some pine/resin hops with a gentle bite, light/medium malt-bready/caramel. Slick mouth feel. Good carbonation. Bottle from a central PA courier who I killed a la Rosenkrantz and Guildenstern once he gave me the beer so he wouldn’t reveal to the assholes in the PLCB that he gave it to me.. Pours turbid deep canary orangy, although more on the "first piss after a Centrum" end of the yellow/orange scale than the pumpkin puree end. Nose is resiny and fruity, with notes of malt, spicy peppery, and citric zest. Tastes rich, [retty hefty on the palate, with a big fruity hoppy blast up front, giving way to some dry floral notes as it hits the posterior of the palate. Smooth, the citrus fruitiness remains throughout, as does the substantial hop and malt bills. jar72404 (426) - USA - DEC 2, 2010
Bottle. Interesting IPA. Pours gold with a nice thin head that retains. Aroma is yeasty. Flavor is surprisingly sweet. Flavor is tropical fruit with a little honey. Very nice. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 23, 2010
12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold body with a small frothy white head that left some nice lacing. The nose is bursting with fresh grapefruity hops and a solid pils malt backbone. The flavor is just as fresh as the nose, fairly aggressively hoppy with a nice clean and crisp bitterness that just makes you want to take another big gulp. The maltiness is full and bready with just a touch of sweetness. Medium bodied and slightly chewy, the fine prickly carbonation brings out the bitterness well. A very well balanced and drinkable IPA.

Bottle. Poured into a tulip glass a orange golden color with a white coastered head. A very mellow aroma with touches of fruit like mango, pineapple, and orange. It doesn’t give off that bitter rind flavor you find in most IPA’s. Sweet start that transitions to a sweet tropical fruit like flavor mixed with some rind type bitterness. Not really all that bitter though but it does linger a little. Minimal alcohol notes. Very easy drinking. Medium mouthfeel. Overall, pretty well balance without being overly hoppy or malty. It pours solid golden orange, a bit lighter, with a white head. The aroma of hops and fruitiness. The notes of citrus orange are huge, especially after a little bit of time on the beer. The body is solid medium with light bubbly carbonation. Travlr (25219) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 25, 2011
Draft at Churchkey, side-by-side 37-38-39-40. Cloudy golden color. Aroma of pleasant feet and Christmas wreath. Taste of citrus, light pine. Scant bitterness. Tasty. BuckeyeBoy (7905) - Boise, Idaho, USA - APR 19, 2011
12oz Bottle Pours out cloudy straw topped with a small head. Aroma was quit the hop mix, citrus, tropical fruit, floral, pine, along with some light caramel sweetness. Taste was all the hop mix along with the malt backbone to hold this one together.

Received in trade from DavoleBomb, thanks for the opportunity. Pours a crystal clear deep golden color with a thinnish white head that disappears almost instantly leaving no trace of its existence. Smells quite malty for an IPA, bread and caramel mixed with hints of citrus mostly lemon and grapefruit. Maybe some tropical fruits or pineapples thrown in there as well. Taste has hints of bitterness but again is quite malty. Sweet fruits, toffee and bread mixed with hints of lemons and grapefruits. I get more hop punch in the taste than I do the aroma but it is still quite mild for an IPA or maybe my palette has just given up. Medium body with a light level of carbonation and a sweetly resinous mouthfeel. Solid easy to drink, but certainly nothing spectacular here. Alcohol is well hidden
