Draft. OK, it must have been very late in the session when I tried this one, because my notes just say "sweet" and w whole bunch of exclamation points. jtclockwork (16444) - , New Jersey, USA - MAR 19, 2011

Bottle… Clear burnt-orange ale with a rosy tint and a small, fizzy, off-white head. Decent retention. The bouquet is of raspberry jam with a whisper of vanilla and a rumor of clove. Medium-bodied with laid-back carbonation. The flavor showcases tart raspberries flanked by mild malt sweetness and low hop bitterness. Tangy, ultra-dry finish. Bottle at Max and Jess’s place. Pours a clear brown with a thin white head. Fruity and malty, cherries and malt. Sweet and fruity, toast, light malt. Sweet, tons of fruit, somewhat of a cough drop beer. Lightly toasty bitterness on the back end. DocLock (10652) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 24, 2011
Bottle from my Harrisburg Hookup. Pours hazy ruby with minimal off-khaki head. Nice ruby appearance. Nose is earthy yeasty brown sugar, red vinous fruit, a bit like the Mad Elf nose. Tastes of raspberry, cacao, earthy funky spicy malt, vanilla, and a smooth, slightly sweet finish. Very complex and a very unique style. The raspberry and cacao meld well as it warms to give a psuedo-German chocolate cakey kind of undercurrent. phaleslu (10101) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 11, 2011
12 oz. bottle that was a recent trade bonus. Pours a nice-looking deep brown color with some reddish hints and a thick, resilient beige head. Notes of berry fruits, Belgian yeast, candi sugar, caramel malts, earth, and bananas. Medium-bodied, with soft carbonation and a smooth, fruity mouthfeel. Cool beer.
