Served in a 10 oz chalice glass
Appearance – Served a light to medium copper color with a billowy white head. The head faded quite fast giving way to only a minimal amount of lacing.
Smell – Carmel sweetness with a light malt base are in the nose. These are mixed with a light citrus hop aroma.
Taste – The taste is much of the nose. It starts out of sweet caramel and bread. The hops come more into play toward the middle with some citrus mixing in with the sweet caramel. These two flavors persist and take the taste to its finish.
Mouthfeel – Lighter in body with a moderate level of carbonation. While making it very easy to down, it is quite average.
Overall – This is a simple very easy drinking beer; a good session beer perhaps (although a more expensive session). While it does have good flavor in some ways it is rather one di DocLock (10660) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 1, 2012
Draft at Craft. Pours dark brown with off-tan head. Nose is vienna malt, nuts, vinous fruit. Tastes earthy, with dusty yeast esters, a lot of nuts, and a fairly complex finish. This one was like a nut mild ale. mcdoug (31) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 2, 2012
Disclaimer: had draught version after drinking most of two cask ales, and I prefer unfizzy beers! Dark copper color and somewhat fruity-hoppy aroma. Mega-fizzy palate to the point of nearly acidy. Dull kind of grainy taste that fades quick to somewhat bitter and sour, with a hint of canned goods. Too much fizz and lacking in taste. sonnycheeba (5973) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 28, 2012
Tap. Pours clear gold with thin, fizzy white head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is corn, cereal and straw malt, floral hops, coriander, and light fruit. Flavor is malt dominate with faint supporting hops and fruit esters; dry finish. Light body, medium carbonation, and low warmth. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 26, 2012

Draught pours murky brown with little head. Aromas of funk and roasts malt. Taste is delicate with some light malt and sOme mild funkiness. Body is light and very sessionable. Overall a great session brew that goes down smooth with plenty of flavor. radagast83 (8019) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - APR 3, 2012
Draft at Churchkey. Poured a clear caramel color, with a small off-white head. Aroma was light caramel notes. Flavor was soft caramel, touch of bread. Highly drinkable, very enjoyable. Please, can I haz bottle? Travlr (24319) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - MAR 31, 2012
Draft courtesy of Matt from Farmer’s Cabinet, thank you sir! Murky light brown color, small tan head. Aroma of caramel and light spice. Taste is brown bread, light spice. Easy to drink. orangesol (987) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 19, 2012
Served on-tap at the Brewery.
A - Pours caramel amber brown with a dense two finger tall white head leaving thin streaks of lace down the glass.
S - Smells of caramel sweetness and plenty of grain throughout. Some light citric hop bitterness comes through as it warms up. I was expecting a bit more hops to this one.
T - Starts off with quite a bit of grain, not really chewy but it is noticeable, quickly giving way to a bit of toffee and caramel sweetness. As it warms, the fuggle hops come through a bit more but they never get to the level of being overpowering. Finish is a little sweet with some bitterness, not lingering for very long.
M - Medium body with a light flavor and moderate carbonation. Fairly grainy throughout with a little hop bitterness at the end of each sip.
O - All things considered this one was decent. The flavors were mild, just as they should be, and the low ABV makes it easy to drink. Not my favorite but still pretty good none the less. jsmerig (1578) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 10, 2012
Pours a rich dark reddish brown. Aroma of smoked malt with tones of fresh earth. Taste is malt forward with a dry smokey finish. Good session ale.
