Deep copper coloured beer with a thick white head. Aroma is kind of crappy. A bit cheesy with a bit of light spiciness. Sweet peach/apricot with a bit of banana and lemon as well. Lightly spicy with a bit of lingering melon flavour and a long peppery finish. Meh... it doesn’t really do it for me. fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 25, 2009
Bottle. Well, this bottle at least did not hold up at all. Oxidized mess, prune juice and garbage-like. My numbers are INCREDIBLY generous so as not to needlessly slam a retired beer too much. LilBeerDoctor (4231) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 24, 2009
Bottle thanks to JB175. Pours a super murky brown, sort of swamp-like, with a small light tan head. Aroma is strongly vegetal with sweet, raisiny malt. Flavor is much of the same--vegetal and oxidized. Yeah, maybe this is a pointless rating but at least people will see that this beer is not holding up.

Bottle: Cloudy deep amber with a dense tan head. Thick sweet fruity aroma- some plummy notes mesh with spicy fruit skin tannins, clove and a touch of solvent. Simple flavor, but rounded. Some dark fruit skin & plummy notes with light vanilla mesh with some spicy phenols. No big off flavors, just underwhelming. puzzl (3264) - New York, New York, USA - APR 21, 2009
Bottle shared by Paul, I can finally knock this one off my want list. Spicy banana aroma, wheaty banana cream pie. Sweetish, light carbonation, calm body, fairly unimpressive and sweet flavor. A bit too old at this point, perhaps, a bit oxidized and thinned, but enjoyable none-the-less.

Bottled. Poured clear coppery-amber with a short cap of beige head. The aroma picked up white pepper and cloves over slightly sour pale malts and a bit of brown sugar.. the malts return on the back, but the sourness threw me off a bit. The flavor was along the same lines with sourness throughout.. brown sugar, bready, and light chocolate notes at the core.. pepper and clovey spices surrounded and helped dry out the finish.. some warmth on the edges. Medium-bodied with moderate-to-heavy carbonation on the palate.. the spices worked well here.. this grew on me as it progressed. Adam77 (457) - Eastampton, New Jersey, USA - APR 3, 2009
Poured brown with a white head. Aroma of fruit and spice. Bready texture with some spice. Odd. Rciesla (5607) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - MAR 18, 2009
Bottle. Pours a golden amber body with a white head. Lots of etoh latent fruit, bubblegum apple and some light citric flavors. Nice spiced character with cinnamon and peppercorn. I enjoyed this one a lot. kiefdog (1827) - Tampa, Florida, USA - FEB 22, 2009

From bottle, blindtasting #13. Pours almost clear and golden amber with a fully gone head. Dry, roasted malt and slight wineous with a hoppy touch. Mild sweetens flavoured with a dry hoppy note and somewhat yeasty profile. Mild spiced and sweet caramel malty finish.
