bottle - tasted without knowing what it was. We all pretty much guessed a Dunkel. Red gold pour, off-white head that dissipated quickly. Very clovey flavor, maybe also grains of paradise. xmarcnolanx (937) - Kirkwood, Missouri, USA - APR 9, 2008
Aroma is a touch of cooked vegetable, lots of wheat, pepper, clove, and cinnamon.
Taste is wheat, pepper, clove, cinnamon, rounding out well, creamy, dense.
This is pretty tasty.
Finishes smooth and a touch fizzy, but not so much that it is distracting.
Very decent. goldtwins (4320) - Nesconset, New York, USA - APR 7, 2008
Poured a hazed amber color with a small off-white head. The aroma was nice and fruity. Notes of raisins, bananas, and clove. Fruity flavor with some citrus notes. Medium bodied. jake65 (3626) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - APR 5, 2008
Bottle: Hazy brown amber pour with a smallish off-white head. Aroma of citrus and wheat. Light maltiness and bananas. Kind of has that Belgian spiciness up front. Pleasant flavor of wheat, citrus, clove, and Belgian spice. Smooth and crisp on the palate. Enjoyable. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - APR 5, 2008

Appearance: Pours a murky, dark amber body with a small, off-white head.
Smell: Aroma of wheat malt with a candyish bent to it, hints of breadcrust, and the obligatory esters of banana and clove.
Taste: Malted wheat with a slight tanginess and a moderate amount of sweetness. Full flavors of bananas and clove. Pinch of freshly-grated nutmeg. A relatively mild, spicy bitterness interrupts the taste for but a moment, then the flavors resume till the warming finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: That Tröegs. Every man needs a few awesome weizen bocks around and this one just may fit the bill. Naven (1000) - Poway, California, USA - MAR 22, 2008
12 oz bottle via Jimbowood. This one pours a murky, brown/amber color. Light carbonation. Nose is bananas and spice. Flavor is spicy, fruity and smooth. Lots of banana and clove going on. Kind of reminds me of an abbey dubbel. Surprised by the relatively low ABV, because this one feels strong. Still, very good. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - MAR 22, 2008
Bottle courtesy of The_Epeeist: Pours a hazy copper amber with a nicely-lacing froth of white head. Sweet caramel and bready German yeasty nose has a good clove presence and some banana esters. Body starts fairly full and rich with good malty wheat sweetness and nice balance of clove spice and light citrus before an authentic bready yeasty finish. A very nice weizenbock. shp555 (2024) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAR 22, 2008
Pours a hazy copper color with a tan head. Aroma is wheaty, bubble gum, clove, and a hint of banana. Flavor is malty, caramel, wheaty, clove, banana, and a slightly alcoholic finish.
