Bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.; thanks hopdog). Looks good for a wit; a hazy golden orange with thin white lacing. Smells solid; wheat, yeast, orange citrus, and mild spice. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. A decent wit. djd07 (15293) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 2, 2013
Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with medium creamy white head that lasts awhile leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is yeast and citrus. Thin mouthfeel with strong yeast and wheat with light spice in finish. Good. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 4, 2013
Cloudy blonde pour, white head. Loads of spices, yeast, orange, vanilla wafers, mandarin oranges. Really great for the style. Sammy (12491) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 2, 2013
Pleasant wit from Capone’s restaurant. A good spice mix made this tasty and drinkable. Good above average mouthfeel. Good choice of spices including star anise. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 29, 2012

Bottle... Cloudy golden ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The bouquet is fruity and spicy - apple, pear and coriander. Light to medium-bodied with soft carbonation. The flavor is painfully sweet and a touch fruity with hardly any acidity. Spicy finish. I usually detest wits... and the New York Yankees. Bottle courtesy of growler! 12 ounce bottle pours a light golden hazy color with aromas of light orange, vanilla, spices, and some light peaches. Flavors are the same light overall, nice offering overall, first taste of this scratch series, liked it overall. beernbourbon (1596) - Glendale, Arizona, USA - OCT 18, 2012
Bottle thanks to beerman6686, thanks! Pour is very handsome - cloudy deep gold color with a medium white head. Aroma is chamomile, light lemon, hints of spice, and light orange peel. Also a very light sweet malt note. Flavor is very true to nose with soft chamomile notes dominating. Also light lemon, light sweet malt, lightly herbal, and a light spice note. Smooth and easy to drink. Very soft on the palate. Not too much tartness. Very nice and true to style. Brigadier (3710) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - OCT 16, 2012
16 ounce pint
With five Troeg’s Scratch beers on tap it was hard to choose just one. Eventually I settled on this wit hoping that I would have the time (and budget) to get back to try a few more. Scratch beers are great small batch experiments that I wish made it beyond the border of Pennsylvania.
Aroma / Appearance - The cloudy orange base looks like a brilliant sunset hanging over the ocean. Yeast, ripe bananas, and white pepper nip at the nostrils. Soft and balanced it invites further inspection.
Flavor / Palate - Sweet banana cloves line the tongue as they roll towards the back of the throat. The yeast in the transition moves towards a tangy finish. That sharpness wakes up the palate. It didn’t take long for the glass to be empty. I have a feeling this one will not last much longer.
