Golden color with an aroma that is heavily spiced with everything on the rack + some candi sugar. Flavor is way too spicy and out of whack, though the Tripelish tendencies and yeastiness save it somewhat. Not awful, but maybe the worst scratch I’ve had. blankboy (7689) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 12, 2009
My bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- courtesy of TheEpeeist. Pours a slightly hazy golden-yellow with a spare diminishing white head. Mild aroma of yeast, fruit and spices -- somewhat sweet and herbal as well. Flavour’s sweet, malty and yeasty along with floral hops and some alcohol. Average bodied. A good beer, perhaps a tad sweet for my liking. ajm (1072) - Los Angeles, California, USA - FEB 12, 2009
Bonus bottle from JB175 - thanks Jason! Thought this was going to be a Saison when I opened it, but was soon corrected. Full juniper berry flavor with very floral nose. Finishes like a Belgian pale or a Saison, with a misty yeasty hop flavor. No indication it’s 10%, but I agree with Oakes that it could be balanced better. Bottle (12oz). Shared by blankboy with me and garthicus. Hazy gold pour with a small white head. Sweet dry spice aroma, slightly grassy; simple. Light-tasting, peaches, fresh grassy bitterness, quite yeasty. Sticky mouthfeel, average body, slightly astringent and weakly carbonated; left a pungent grassy aftertaste. It was sweeter than I make it sound - not bad, loved the yeastiness. jkwalking05 (4740) - Arlington, Texas, USA - FEB 8, 2009
Golden in color with a small white head. Aroma is of sweet malt, juniper berries, nutmeg and ginger. Taste is ginger, fruity with banana and oranges, and juniper.

Blonde with a slight haze. Herbal, juniper nose...not much malts. Fruity juniper berry character with only a hint of malt. You’d NEVER know they ran it through a hopback full of juniper berries. Good flavour - I do like juniper. But it could do with a bit more malt. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 3, 2009
Bottle, kp party. Medium bright gold, slightly hazy. Low carbonation. The juniper is really well-integrated and never becomes overwhelming. Mellower spice profile than expected. garthicus (2929) - Dublin, IRELAND - JAN 29, 2009
Thanks to Blankboy, shared with HogTownHarry and I. Pours a cloudy orange with a tiny white head. Aroma: New shoes!!!?? Awesome aroma, spices, fresh herbs. Flavour: Hmm, somewhat disappointing compared to aroma however I still like it! Alcohol, spices, cabbage, leaves, alcohol is detectable, not bad. I find it a bit puzzling. checkmatei1 (765) - Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 16, 2009
Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow. The aroma was sugary dark fruits. The flavor was the same with some spice and yeast. Overall, a really nice beer to have had. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 6, 2009
Pours amber and hazy with a thin white head. Smells sugary and dry. Tastes dry and spicy with some clove and hints of resin and juniper on the finish. Unusual but enjoyable beer.
