Boom goes the supper hopped nose with juicy tropical fruits and a bit of a spice not to match in flavor. This is one of boldest IPAs out there. DocLock (11103) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 25, 2013
Draft at Craft Ale House and rating her after being aliases from Scratch 98. Pours turbid thick grapefruit juicy with minimal ecru head. Nose is a panoply of tropical fruits including kiwi, mango, grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine . Tastes tropical fruity, somewhat creamy and lactosy, with big piney hops and the plethora of tropical citrus flavors, all well balanced and complex in the finish with a well hidden alcohol for a beer this big. I think Troeg’s should make this a Christmas exclusive, and call it Don Ho Ho Ho. Either that, or just make it all year and call it Caribbean Concoction. bottleforager (3211) - Gray, Maine, USA - JUL 10, 2013
Growler. Pours a very cloudy orange tan color with a weird yellow orange tinted foam. The nose has a ton of tropical fruit, mango, caramel malts and a touch of booze too. The mouthfeel is big and round with a mouth coating in your face hop profile. Nice big fruit on the front end with mango being the predominate flavor. Lots of heavy bitterness creeps in from the mid palate into the boozy finish... with more lingering fruit in the finish. Pretty damn good ! bucs572000 (237) - Minnesota, USA - JUL 19, 2013
From a 12oz bottle, thanks Devin. Aroma is citrus, orange, pine, grapefruit, and big mangos. Flavor is mangos, oranges, pine, citrus, tropical fruit, and pineapple. This beer is very complex, very tasty, and smooth at 11 percent abv. Great beer great experience, if you like citrusy iPas try and get one. ROGUE (2216) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - AUG 21, 2013
On tap at State Line. Pours a cloudy orange color with two finger bubbly whitish head, with great retention and light lacing. Aroma has tons of mangoes, tropical fruits, herbaceous hops, and lemon zest. Taste starts with a big citric hop bite followed closely by the fresh mango’s. Hints of caramel, pine resin and warm booze help round things out through the middle. Finish is really bitter with a touch of booze, leaving the palate dry long after the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Prickly, resinous, sharp.

A: Hazy Golden Straw/Orangish Hue, Passes Some Light, Thin White Head Ring, Mild Lacing
S: Citrus, Grapefruit Rind, Mild Peach Juice
T: Grapefruit Rind, Orange Peels, Mango, Bittering Hops, Spicy
M: Average Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Bitter, Mildly Sweet
Overall, this beer is like chewing on a pink grapefruit peel with a mango juice finish...definitely a palate wrecker.
Pours thick, unclear cloudy orange lemon with a white head. The aroma is fruity, boozy, and hoppy. The flavor of hops, mango tropical fruit, and alcohol blend well on a thick but smooth body. PhillyCraft (7979) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 25, 2012
On tap for Brad’s big day. Pours a hazy golden cloud, good lacing, small to medium fluffy white head. Aromas of pineapple, mangoes, danky and resinous pine. So many awesome hops coming together for a boozy easy drinking ipa for the alc. Just needs more mango. Great beer, can’t wait to try more styles from these brewers. jkwood04 (5463) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 30, 2013
Growler poured Into a tulip. Pours cloudy orange with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of mango, citrusy and fruity hops, a good amount of caramel malts. Flavor the same with a very nice fruity and hoppy notes. Smooth texture. A great IPA.
