A: The beer pours amber in color with a small off-white head.
S: A very fruity aroma to this. A bit of grape and cherry, perhaps some plums. Maybe a little bit of metal and lemon. Bready malt and a bit of caramel sweetness.
T: Sweet caramel malts with a definite tart fruit character. Some peaches, plums, grapes, and cherries with a bit of a lemon character. A bit too much of a fruit juice thing going on.
M: Light bodied with low to medium carbonation.
O: This is another one that is beyond its prime, probably not surprisingly. Lubiere (14151) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 11, 2004
Ommegang fest. Described as a double bock with belgian yeast. Hazy brown, with very little aroma (too cold). Rather sweet chemical cherry lollipop tatse. Body is more on the heavy side. soso. j12601 (13124) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - NOV 22, 2009
Bottle at Paul’s tasting. Pours a clear thin black to brown with a thin white head. Sweet cordial style alcohol. Light sweetness, little cola and caramel. Finishes up with some light caramel. Nothing overly memorable, but not terrible either.

12/17/10. Bottle shared by fata2683 - thanks, Keith! Sweet caramel and bubblegum aroma with a sweet caramel flavor laced with banana, bubblegum, and more. Nice. Ughsmash (7510) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 23, 2010
Thanks to Rich for the bottle, as Scratch 24. Poured a lovely shade of smoked amber with a short cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up peppery yeast and toasted banana notes over warm caramel and molasses maltage.. warm and inviting. The flavor found molasses at the core with lesser biscuit and caramel notes.. peppery yeast again with a little bit of dry-roasted smokiness too.. tasty malts with a kick of pepper on the memorable finish. Medium-bodied and bone dry on the palate.. for the most part, the yeast worked here, but it was a tad sharp and unbalanced at times.. overall a very tasty brew.
