0.33 l bottle. Dark reddish brown. Aromas of orange and chocolate with hint of cola. Smoothly roasty flavor with coffee and chocolate, faint orange. Smooth palate. Nice orange-chocolate feeling, could have a dash more orange.

Pours a two finger light tan head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving a good lace. Almost clear dark brown color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Nose is roasted chocolate and flavor is chocolate malt. $6.00 for a 330ml bottle from Tullys Beer & Wine Wells, Me.

Aroma is malts/cocoa and spices/vegetables. The flavor is malty, a mix of chocolate and caramel as well as having a slightly spicy flavor with thankfully no vegetables in flavor. Not as strong in body or flavor as normally expecting with an imperial stout, could be due to the spices, otherwise this was pretty good, but not exceptional.

Pours very dark with a crimson hue and a tan head that looks like it has craters all over it. The aroma has cream, dark fruit, berries, roasted malt, green apples and spices. Medium body thats quite light for an impy stout and it has mild sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with star anise, roasty malt, cinnamon, berries and mild alcohol. The finish adds some powdery spices and chalk. Nice beer that is somewhere between a regular stout and imperial stout with spices added. This seemed to have a bit of age on it, but aging gracefully.

11.2 oz. bottle, pours a dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma is fruity, nutty and spicy, with some dried fruits (dates, figs), toasted bread and some undecipherable spice notes. Flavour is quite fruity, with the dates, figs and cherries, toasted bread, some spiced notes, and some nutty qualities. Certainly doesnt taste like a stout or even a spiced ale - not sure what this is, but I suppose its alright for what it is.

bottle... dark brown, not much of a body for a ris, big light tan tan, great retention and lace... the aroma is super roasted, a bit of char and chocolate as well, smells weirdly carbonated, reminds me of a danish stout, weird hot grassy finish... the aroma is tolerable but the taste is not, harsh char, weird grass not a good beer at all

Bottle and served in my Expedition snifter: Pours a deep russet brown with minimal head nor lace. The aroma has notes of caramel, roast, walnut, plum, anise, light smoke and oak, herbal and grassy hops, with a quick dash of mineral oil. The taste is rather mundane with slick sweet malts, touch of coffee and chocolate, char, and dark fruits before a light handed hop bitterness comes about during the finish. The mouth feel is also very underwhelming, thin and sort of flat. The only Black Wind I get from this is a gust of wasted money flowing out of my pockets. Oh, exactly why is the not listed as a Stout? If there are indeed any spice it would be Star Anise and even then not enough to list this brew as a spice brew, not even close.

Geruch nach Schokolade, malzwrzig, Orange, Rstaromen. Antrunk sanft-malzig, alsbald rauchig-schinkig. Gleichzeitig fruchtig, Orange. Bittermalziger Abgang. Ungewhnlich, wirkt etwas unruhig - dennoch ber dem Durchschnitt.Test vom 19.6.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Bottled, thanks Bov! Clear dark brown, coarse head. Dryish with clean mouthfeel and medium body. Salt, tobacco and licorice spritzed out by slight fruity yestyness in the Belgian stout fashion. Growing bitter finish.
