COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Black Bise is back, except that the animal was adapted to better IMPRINT in the range of the brewery. High fermentation black, with a mixture of special malts calibrated to give it body, roundness and needed a winter beer presence, without falling into the bland. It as 7.2%, so caution. This beer is brewed from September to March.

Bottle from Craft Beer Advent Calendar. Pours a thick colour with a fully dissapating white head. Aromas of dark malts, dried fruit, and cocoa. Lighter mouthfeel than the colour suggests. Tastes of anise, malts, and is very slightly sour. A very nice winter sipper!

Bottle thanks to wombat23. Pours dark brown from the bottle. Frothy to creamy tan head that sticks to the glass and lingers. Aroma is a wonderfully subtle mix of plum, dark chocolate and licorice. Taste is unfortunately not nearly as interesting—a sort of menthol ladened cough drop flavor sets the tone, accompanied by a mild berry sourness and a hint of dark chocolate. Body is medium, carbonation is mild. It’s not bad but this feels like an unfinished effort.

Draft at Ei8ht Ball in a flight from notes. Pours a dark cola brown color with a small khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have light roasted malts, chocolate, bigger dark fruit character, figs, raisins, thin for a stout, not my favorite.

Bottle, 6.5℅, thanks derA! Brown color with beige head. Aroma is brown malts, chocolate, molasses, toffee, some liquorice. Taste is chocolate, liquorice, molasses, earthy, a bit roasted and some brown sugar. Slightly watery mouthfeel, high but soft carbonation. Not bad, but not excellent.

Sweet, dark toasted malts, molasses, slightly burnt sugar, prunes, plums, other dark fruits. Very dark brown, massive, frothy, beige head. Light sweet. More sweet, dark malts, fruit, chocolate, light cacao, soft carbonation, medium to full bodied, more dark fruits in the finish. Really liking this Stout, great dark fruits in aroma and palate. Bottle from Drinks of the World, Bern.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a very small sized head of frothy tan colored bubbles that were very quickly diminishing and left behind an opaque brown colored body and no lacing. The odd aroma was mild spice and dark malt. The vinous mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish with a mellow malty aftertaste. The thin flavor contained notes of mild spice dark malt and breads. An OK brew just nothing special.

Aromas of malt and coffee with not sweet scents. Pours darkdark brown with tight thick tan head, light lacing. Sharp sour bite with well balanced dry toast flavors that work well together. Oily mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Loooong finish. Nice

ON bottle from Drinks of the world, Zurich a couple of months back. Dark brown almost black color, good foam. Medium aroma intensity; roasty, coffee and malty. Medium/full body & complexity. Some sweetness, good bitterness balances well. Enjoyable
