Bottled (thanks K.S.!). Deep murky brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is ashy, chocolaty with some roasted malts and mild herbal and wooden notes. Flavour is sweetish grainy maltyness with some slight spices, roast, mild earth and some slight berries. Also some slight alcohol to be noted. lupulist (348) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 2, 2012
Bottle from Craft Beer Advent Calendar. Pours a thick colour with a fully dissapating white head. Aromas of dark malts, dried fruit, and cocoa. Lighter mouthfeel than the colour suggests. Tastes of anise, malts, and is very slightly sour. A very nice winter sipper! cmacklin (1127) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 23, 2014
330 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, nuts and dark fruit. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, liquorice, dark fruit, dark chocolate and nuts with a bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. AbouAli (195) - SWITZERLAND - NOV 30, 2014
belle stout, bien de la couleur avec une petite mousse beige. manque de longueur en bouche et assez buvable, pas trop lourde mais quand même pleine en bouche. JorisPPattyn (9928) - Ursel, BELGIUM - APR 10, 2010
Draught Deep-brown beer with orangeish reflections and a small, dense, beige, Guinness-like head, with classic lace. Very roasted, molasses-like nose, burnt toffee, and a mossy aroma. Quite sweet, sweetish chocolate, with cigarette ash retronasal. Dries up in the palate, leaving some grainy impression with roasted notes. Drier chocolate in the aftertaste, very slick, medium bodied or better. Nice, if rather sweet heavy stout. Drinks better than the marks might suggest.

33cl bottle. Small tan head atop muddy dark brown body. Aroma is moderately sweet, bittersweet chocolate, raisin, molasses, light cinnamon, cherry. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit/orange, roast, bittersweet chocolate, some raisin/grape. Medium body, light stickiness, undercarbonated. mile (3932) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 7, 2011
Bottle. Dark brown, virtually no head. Moderate malty and lightly sweetish aroma, licorice and saltiness, light hoppyness and roasted malt. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, roasted malt and licorice. Finish is average, malty and dryish, roasted malt and salty licorice. OK although I am not big fan of licorice. Bottle at omhper, thanks.
Coarse light brown head. Dark brown-red color. Dry roasted malty aroma with strange beef broth. Black malty taste with chocolate taste. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 21, 2012
Bottled. Poured medium-brown with a short-lived, yellowy-beige head. The aroma picked up sweet, toasted chocolate and black malts with plenty of cardamom, vanilla, and some herbs around.. fresh, greener hoppy accents.. welcoming. The flavor found well-toasted chocolate, vanilla, and molasses notes at the core.. cardamom, cinnamon, and lightly sour malty notes around.. finished with warm spices over molasses and a touch of maple. Medium-bodied with a spotty flow through the palate.. more tart/sour toward the back-end.. OK feel and flow.. decent beer. Reimer96 (1743) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 2, 2012
Pours a clear dark brown with a small brown head that dissipates quickly and leaves little lace. Aromas of a sour cocoa with some spice. Taste is sour dark chocolate with some raisin and hints of vanilla and cinnamon on the finish. This body of this beer is very light on the palate which is very surprising for a >7% beer.
